i'm just waiting to see who they put in. i think there will be one that alot of people don't think should be there.

This year will definitely be tougher than years passed, IMO.

If Alabama loses this game though, I have them 100% as a top 4 team over Oklahoma, Ohio State, Etc.

If Alabama wins this game, I don't really have a problem with either Ohio State or Oklahoma though.

yea the big ten and big 12 were not the strongest of conferences. if ohio state goes it's on conference and reputation.

I honestly don’t need an 8 team playoff. People would just then complain about the 9th & 10th team that didn’t get in all while watering things down.
I'd want 6 MAX.

Look at it this way, Florida is currently #9. Do they have ANY business potentially winning a National Championship?

I get that, and I'm happy to let college football guys - i.e. guys that really care about college football - decide. I think to make eight work you would have to do something with the conferences so that all that debate (or most of it) was taken away, so that "voting" isn't the deciding factor. Like have the conferences and conference championships arranged so that you know from the start that whoever emerges definitely belongs in the playoffs. To me, the whole thing just seems more random than it needs to be. (I know it's not random and that it works out most of the time, but it always reminds me of figure skating/beauty pageant judging.) I don't feel like typing the whole thing out, because I would be here all day lol. I mean, I am going to be here all day anyway, but I'm too lazy to keep going. I know it's hard to tell that from this wall of text. I just hope this game stays close all the way through.

I want 6 because I don’t like the selection process. If they just cut the random 1 loss Wisconsin dreck, I’d be fine staying at 4.

I honestly hate the UCF’s & previously the Boise State’s of world because I hate the moronic talking points they bring out.

I liked Boise because I liked Petersen, but that dopey banner is straight out of the Flyers’ locker room.

It’s probably unfair to the teams in themselves as I really don’t have a problem with them. But I dislike the knuckle dragging fans & media members who pound on the table for them. They don’t have the talent to hang with the big boys in those games & secondly running through that conference is much easier than a P5. Like the whole top 30 or so would have a legit shot running through a group of 5 conference. So them losing a game always pipes things down.

The best group of 5 team right now is getting an automatic bid to the NY6 that’s more than enough.

I don't think so-9th and 10th always have 2 losses and often have 3 losses
only total homers will complain about that if their team is in that slot
with 4 teams it always turns into quibbling about who among the 1 loss teams to put it
8 teams gives at least a chance to the minnows like UCF and Boise

I think it should be the 5 conference champions and 3 at large. Teams mature during the season and I think that would get more teams in than realistically have a chance now plus it would make the regular season and conference championship mean more.

yea the year byu won the national championship, really added alot of fuel to the fire, of these weak conference teams thinking they should be included.

I couldn’t care less about giving those teams handouts or really any of the other P5 teams that aren’t worthy. I want to watch the best teams play.

You don’t need an 8 team playoff to decide who the best teams are when the talent gaps are so large between groups of teams.
