Why would Gaborik need to audition... you know what you're getting with this guy... a speedy gifted, injury prone player. HE has a bad game in TOR and that's what dissuades DL from being interested? I'll call BS on that (and almost anything out of DBs mouth).

I love Giordano (a lot!)...but not at the cost of Williams (or Cammalleri).

Of which Calgary wouldn't do. Gio is their best defender, they are going to want a younger replacement.

Kings No.1 target still appears to be Moulson, but things don't work out, I'm told Cammalleri is a possibility. Gaborik could be plan C
 
Remember how most dumbass reporters had the asking price for MacDonald being a 1st? How did that work out? None of these twits on twitter can be taken with 100% certainty, and I don't include guys like McKenzie and LeBrun as part of the attention seeking ****** club.
 
The only way the Kings could afford Gio and Cammy would be to include one of Greene, Williams or Stoll, and even then Cgy would have to retain a nice chunk of Cammy's hit for this season.

Further to @DennisTFP's latest on the Kings, I'm told Vanek isn't really an option for them at this time. Price too high.
 
I can't possibly imagine Deano being down with bringing Cammalleri back. He **** all over that guy every chance he could.

You don't move Williams to make cap space. Stoll ? Sure

Greene as well, Their are plenty of options to free up cap space on the Kings.

Williams is not one of them.
 
I think Coburn might be a guy to look at. Especially with them adding MacDonald.

Separate deal for a forward seems more likely but would love to have Hartnell in LA as well.

You're being too kind. McKenzie, Dreger and LeBrun at least are pros. But the rest of these hacks are just trolling for hits or attention. It's all made up.
 
How stupid by CBJ to not scratch Gaborik for tonight. What if he gets injured.

One up each other my ass. I'd love to watch the ducks cough up Etem/Vatanen/pick for Vanek.
 
Cammy would have to play with Koptiar. Cause he sure isn't going to dig pucks out of corners, or win any board battles.

So you can't play him with Richards/Carter.

I'm not claiming they'd do it. I'm just saying it's the first time I wouldn't be disgusted if Williams were to be dealt. Also Muzzin would be included as per link.

Mark Giordano is a legit Top pairing Defender. He would return more than Williams+ Muzzin.

More like Slava+Toffoli
 
I know how this will appear with my position and all but I have to defend the Mayor here.

First off, if you think he's PUSHING Williams out of town, you're [crazy][mod]. Bottom line. If you read ANYTHING he's written or listen to ANY of his interviews, the reason he's continued to say Williams is the odd man out is his cap..

Williams is the odd man out because the Kings have a replacement for him in Toffoli, need to clear salary, and they don't have a replacement for Stoll. They're not moving a D with the injury concern. Need all bodies possible for the playoffs. Williams is the only person who can move to make financial sense with the cap in play. Its just a joke you're going to attack him for "wanting Williams gone".

That being said, yes, he was wrong on AMac. It happens. Anyone hear of grizzly veteran AWardo?

Getting Giordano would be amazing, but losing Williams for Cammy would hurt a little. It's unlikely we'd meet his contract demands, and we know Dean doesn't want to be in any position of weakness versus Cammy, in all likeliness he'd let him walk. We'd get the defenseman we needed, but would still have a big hole on the left side in the offseason. Gio screams DL kind of player though.
