And Belleville (Ottawa) just signed Malcolm Subban to an AHL deal. Would have been nice to pivot to something like that to boost the organizational depth after losing Reimer...

Yes, Levi needs to play a lot, it's not right for him to just sit on the bench. While Levi is sitting on the bench, the same Askarov is spending his third season in the AHL.

how are you certain that upl would take the starters job as he has clearly w the past three without the competition w Levi ?
I imagine this was ruff, calculated risk etc

I imagine while the team waits on Reimer , if Levi is dominate in his next start or fails because he needs more reps , this will determine was ka and ruffwill do as long as upl remains diald in ... claim Reimer if avail or another to mature and give Levi minutes w a vet more comfortable w only getting 20 starts capable of winning 13 if that exists
I think all of these choices and moves are much more fluid and day to day than people think
Ducks prolly holding Reimer ransom hoping we get desperate and send them a late pick.

With GMKA's 5 year track record of handling the goaltending position I actually find it quite doubtful that he claims Kahkonen, TBH.
It's logical. Most people think it's the best plan to move forward, so it won't happen.

Same with Reimer? Buffalo will be the first to do so or not the last team in the league at the moment?

No they don't. It follows the normal waivers order.
Ahh, correct. My bad. If Buffalo is the only team to claim him they can send him directly to Rochester. But they don't get first dibs.
So someone is going to Rochester and I would assume it's the guy they loaned their yesterday -
