One thing he noted was there's been no drop in hockey participation since the Coyotes left.
Also.... in regards the Vegas coming in to lure some fans in with cheeky events, there's been very little other than that. Vegas has made no real effort on supporting the youth hockey end.
Neither has Ryan Smith with Utah, but Smith still has a lot on his plate right now with getting Delta Center expanded and developing the youth/adult hockey programs within Utah.
Add in Colorado.... who suddenly has triggered blackouts here..... MY opinion is right now all three of these teams are just interested in is selling streaming subscriptions and maybe a little merch sales..
Also mentioned there is some work being done on getting the NHL back to Arizona. But they are going to keep a very low profile for now because they don't want to make that same mistake of over-promising and under-delivering like all the previous Coyotes ownerships did
