It's only 1 game, I wouldn't count on Grans being more than a low-end NHL regular.

But he is another player who had his development significantly damaged by having him come over at 19, which is sadly a recurring theme with this management team. Who knows what type of player he would have been with another year in the Sweden.
There is a handful of guys that looked good in their very first Kings camp after being drafted then every year after looked worse or at best plateaued.
Grans, JAD, and Bjornfot probably the best examples of it.

Yeah, it's clear as day that the Kings have a massive issue in player development once players arrive in SoCal. But what can you do about it? Surely the answer isn't to fire one of your best friends, right?

Calling all Jonathan Quick fans... over on the History of Hockey forum, we're working on our feeble attempt at ranking the top 60 goaltenders of all time. That means we're doing our best to compare goalies from modern times to olden times, NHL goalies to non-NHL goalies, and everything in between. We're about halfway through the list and Jonathan Quick is now up for discussion.

If anyone's interested in making a case for him to make the list right away, come on over and take a look at the thread. Or, if you're just interested in learning a bit more about the game's history... come on over too! All are welcome. Thanks!

I'd rank Quick somewhere between Hasek and Roy alphabetically. Closer to Roy.

Opinion:

I think everyone who bothers with corny all time lists and rankings is a dork. Who cares where JQ ranks all time?

hit the gym rather than thinking about where a grown ass man ranks on some arbitrary list

Or you can act like an adult and leave people alone who like talking hockey from angles you don't.

maybe you shouldn’t get in your feelings when I stated it was just my opinion. You have a lot of illogical opinions yourself but you don’t see me checking you.

What’s your bench PR right now?

Okay, this is just my opinion.

I actually have no interest in Quick's rating either. I have no intention in participating in it, because it's not my thing. My energy is devoted to other parts of hockey.

But I think shitting on someone's passing enthusiasm when you're not interested is asshole behavior. And I thought it was cool of the poster to invite people over to talk about it if it interests them.

If you want to talk about bench presses, there are people who talk about it here: Fitness and Training

Frankly, I have no interest in discussing it either. But I'm not going to shit on you for being enthusiastic in it. At least it's not spent trolling HF like Surf or fetishizing Carrlyn like RMT.
