Odd take. The 2nd line was the only line going for most of the game. I thought it worked well and Kane obviously did too. Perry makes so many sneaky quick puck movements he's an extra dimension of danger. While I feel the line has potential to get too fancy with one touches they were all over it tonight and should stay together.

Kane feeling if tor the first time in months and is it just me or is it because he's suddenly playing with Names again. I don't know, the guy turns it off, and turns it on. But where has this game been from Kane since December?

Strome with a solid game for the Ducks and obviously hot happy with Oilers dealing him for Ryan nothing Spooner. Guy was on a mission.

Overall Oilers were not good positionally in this game and giving up far too much. Take the W but from a coaching pov this one was garbage.
I’d actually try Perry to line 1, RNH with Holloway on line 3 and McLeod with Kane on line 2.

Not technically old lines but RNH has been pretty quiet offensively for a while now.

Sometimes you have to cheat to be good. This has been seriously lacking in our lineup. But man for a guy out for a long time Perry is really feeling the puck. Sexy one touches and usually gets them to good spots. Guy still has it offensively. He's creating and supporting.

Yeah 100%. It's definitely a part of the formula to competing in the playoffs with the knights.

Need it from almost everyone as much as they can push it. Just the little things like that make all the difference.

So it doesn't matter at all that this is the best help the Drai line has had this year? Why would you not give it further look when the line was happening tonight? Probably a relief for Drai to have some skill to work with both wings. Why not continue it. What wasn't to like?

McLeod was fire with Drai though.

When Perry is deep in the Ozone, it seems every defender is preoccupied with him. He definitely creates space for his linemen.
Which is something that Drai never experiences when he's not with McD. Theres value in that. Perry can actually make plays and be a threat. Kane isn't a play creator as much. So its important to have somebody other than Drai creating. Gives D a lot more to worry about.

Honestly I was ready to clear up his cap and bring up Broberg. Now I can't trade Ceci fast enough.

I don't want to say I told you so, but I told you so.

You want Kulak when you're in the dance. Getting rid of him would be an incredibly huge mistake, the tighter games get the better he plays.

He's the kind of guy that wins you game 7s. Just that Justin Williams feel to him.

Perry is much better with the puck than I expected him to be. When he played with McLeod/Holloway, there were times they weren’t ready for his subtle plays.

I just expected him to agitate and stand in front of the net, but he has more skill than I expected.

This is exactly what I'd said before a day ago. That Perry plays were above what bottomsix players were familiar with, but that allstar players are. You need some talent to read off Corey Perry. He's always had the goods. Good cerebral player. How great is it that Perry's DNA is playoffs?

Another good thing tonight is how it seems Kane has just been laying low in the reeds. I sure expect he'll be in it the playoffs. Good to have some players that elevate. Big game hunters. Not that this one was, but good to see Kane has the touch, and Perry.
