Hey, I really liked those 3 utterly pointless games that Gaucher played this past year! Who needs a top line winger when we've got Gaucher to keep us entertained?

Rangers get Mctavish
Canes get Schneider, Sykora/Laba
Ducks get 1st (26), Kotkaniemi, Nikishin

Rangers get their young center for spare parts. They don’t want to extend Schneider anyway.

Canes are analytical and they probably find another underrated prospect and Sykora/Laba look like their types. They get to dump a bad contract, and Schneider probably ends up having his best years like Skeji did after coming from the Rangers.

Ducks get another LD (haha), but hey maybe he can play RD a bit like Lacombe, Zellweger, Moore. Kotkaniemi’s contract is what we probably need to pay to get anyone to sign in anaheim anyhow. Beeker gets his coveted 1st round pick.

Hey, has had 30/40 point seasons. He can play center, wing, is physical. I don’t think we could attract a 25 year old on his current term. Plus it’s the price we pay for that 1st, the one we will whiff on haha.

Would be fun to see a 3 or even 4 team trade just for fun since it’s so rare.

Unless it is a top 5 pick or top prospect it makes zero sense. And I’m all about futures.

Only if there isn't a deal in place to trade said futures to another team as part of a package for a impact player like Larkin.

Miller is significantly more talented. Schneider doesn’t have anywhere close the tools, skating, offense that Miller brings. Schneider also isn’t as physical or nasty as a pure shut down guy and has poor metrics. He’s not the centerpiece I’d want for Mctavish.
