The funniest thing in all of the Punk/Perry drama is Punk marks wanting so badly for the Bucks/Elite to be involved so they can be vindicated in their belief that Punk's door and dog were viciously superkicked while poor Punk was held down and forced to watch by Kenny Omega.

If Nick Hausman wrote on X that Perry was somehow Jedi mind tricked by Adam Page and the Bucks into starting this whole thing, Punk marks would buy it hook, like and sinker.

I don't think anyone should be fired. In fact, based on how punishment goes in AEW for similar incidents, Perry should be given his own show called AEW Jungle Hour on Sunday nights.

The funniest thing about this vitriolic and unhinged screed is that if they were both fired Jack would get an offer from WWE fairly quickly while Punk wouldn't get one in a million years.
I honestly do not think WWE would sign Jack Perry. Guy has very little charisma, his promos are shitty and he is super mega thin. His wrestling is also nothing special.

If Vince did not see value in Adam Cole as a wrestler, he won't see any in a super vanilla guy like Jack Perry. He would, at best, get a development deal.

Problem is Punk believes he is that person
Probably because he thinks he has to be. This is why you have heads of talent relations and thing like that. Maybe Paul Wight could be a guy, he knows how to talk to people. We thought this was established after All Out but evidently not.

The modus operandi of that room definitely seems to be that when anything goes on, it’s to go run to Dave or SRS as soon as possible. Was the match even finished yet before that leaked?

this is still just over Phil telling Jack Perry that using real glass is a f***ing dumb idea, right

It’s definitely more than that. Phil rubs a lot of people the wrong way. There was probably interaction prior to that where things didn’t go well. We have all worked with a Phil who is difficult to work with and over time it builds to a point.

If Brian Pillman Jr. can get a deal with WWE, then so could Jack Perry.

This whole thing, as with a lot of AEW drama, is due to grown men acting like children. If Perry didn't like the story coming out about Punk telling him/chiding him not to use real glass for a taped backstage segment then Perry should have talked/texted to Punk about it. The comments into the camera potentially escalated the situation although really he is just being a big baby and the comments could have been ignored. Then who knows what happened behind the curtain in terms of being an aggressor or escalating it further.

Or for a slightly different perspective - If he was aware of it becoming news then Punk could have talked/texted with Perry after the story came out to nip it in the bud. Communication is a two way street. Ultimately there are people that want to see Punk at All Out who could potentially be disappointed if this incident causes him to miss the show.

Leaked super fast. Not long after it happened.

What is hilarious is everyone to leak it to was in the building so I like to think some cronie was sent running around the building to find Dave or SRS and tell them

People are still shitting on Punk, but it seems like based on what we know so far, this is the one time he's innocent here.

I still can't get over the unprofessionalism of him having to find his own way to his hotel.

It reads to me like Jack is trying to go after the baddest guy in the yard so that he gains respect of some sort. Like a high school thing.

Kind of reminds me of this

I don't know, maybe I'm just remembering things

Joe had to break up the fight.

Which makes sense. He would be the guy I would expect to be able get Punk to shut the f*** up

Bryan's version is Perry was just walking through thr curtain and Punk basically just attacked him in a blood rage
I mean I read the transcript from what Alvarez it doesnt sound like a blood rage...it just sounds like CM Punk. Basically the chain of events Punk confronts Perry askes him if he has a problem with him, Perry says yes. Punk says he could kick his ass pushes him then puts him in a choke hold and gets broken up by Joe right away. Punk throws a temper tantrum threatens to quit before Joe walks him off the ledge. After the match Miro confronts Punk about his issues with Perry and Punk asks him if he wants to take it outside lmao f***ing man child.
