it would kill the rhythm that the tag division has going for it if the bucks win. like here, take these belts after you bolted for the trios that hasn't gone over. forget what FTR has built with the gunns and BCG.

i'd be more excited over a FTR v Gunns match for All In , but w/e
I do agree I think FTR should go over and the when they drop the titles I would like to see it be elevating another tag team. Maybe Aussie Open or something....but the same thing could happen with the Bucks and if the Bucks go over it would squash FTR.

I think the Bucks and FTR are neck and neck. It's just 2 completely different styles of wrestling so I think that's why people have such strong feelings for one or the other.

I think both teams are the some of the best in the world. I think O'Reilly and any partner not named Von Wagner is up there too but I don't want to spark too much of a debate here

People really going to act like FTR has been buried if they *gasp* lose a match to the Bucks aren't they? This really is a match where it doesn't(shouldn't) matter who wins. Neither team will be hurt by taking a pin.

Am I nuts or are you saying kinda contradicting things here?

I mean you are entitled to your opinion of the Bucks whether you like them or not but the just kind of are on FTR's level. Like I absolutely prefer an FTR match over a Bucks match but you are absolutely letting your own biases cloud reality. It isn't that hard to say you don't like the Bucks while also being able to accept that they are one of the biggest tag teams in the last 20 years. That is just a fact. FTR would not be hurt in any way shape or form by putting the Bucks over if that is the direction they go. I almost hope they do go over just for all the bitching and moaning about it plus maybe old Corny will have the big one.
Booking wise, in the last 18 months, what was done to establish the Bucks as a legit contender? Nothing. The story for this match is that beating them is the last hurdle for FTR. So unless the Bucks turn heel and cheat to win so you can have a larger program there is no reason why they should go over. None.

Neck and neck? Not in 2023, no. What have the Bucks, as a tag team, done in the last 18 months? Like, a cool program? No. A great feud? No. They mostly have been concentrating on their group... and it resulted in losing viewers for most of their matches/segments.

Meanwhile, FTR has had the trilogy with the Briscoes and the recent short program with Juice/Jay. The little story with Cole and MJF was well done and the match was awesome. If anything, that's a program that should continue.

I have no problem with The Bucks and FTR being the Wembley match. They need to have the rubber match and with all the underlying lockerroom stuff, it is probably the closest we will get to an All Out "resolution". There is money in that, so have the match. However, FTR should win... unless fences were mended and you can build a bigger program involving CM Punk and Omega also. A Bucks turn could also work if the end game is for FTR to take the belts back in a few months. But the Bucks winning clean? That would be a waste.

Re Bucks / FTR. I don’t hate the Bucks as much as some, but I also don’t think they’re in the top tier of the tag team division.

FTR should go over them, and honestly I’m afraid that it’s going to go the opposite and that FTR will be left floundering and on a path of no return.

If the bucks go over we know what they negotiated into their new extension. If they go over they’re total marks for themselves.

Matt Jackson saying the company would collapse without them is laughable. Maybe 4 years ago, definitely not now

Not even at the start (based on their presence, not $$). Omega and Jericho were bigger stars and AEW would have been just fine. TK's pockets helped as well.

The foundation when they started (to me at least) was The Elite, Jericho, Cody, and Moxley. And imo I think at that time Jericho was the most important.

Moxley has kind of emerged as “the guy” from that group. Im not a huge fan but there’s no downplaying how huge he’s been for them.

Jericho was the most important, that’s why he got the title. He had the credibility that told the audience that this is a real thing and not another hastened startup or TNA-type thing. His name value was worth a lot, and still is.

Mox was a cashed lottery ticket. They got lucky that he was as miserable as he was, to the point that WWE didn’t even think he would continue to wrestle.

Everyone else was just for the people who knew better and knew how good these people were, and that they were going to have a place on a network without having to go to WWE.

My OCD meter went off the charts when Tony said something about how we've seen that van so many times.... They were destoying a Chrysler Town and Country, while historically Sue had usually appeared driving a (far superior) Honda Odyssey.

I'm predicting that with the return of the parking lot fight, multiple mentions on TV and the rumors of them patching up their differences, Santana and Ortiz are returning very soon.

That said I'm not sure I fully believe Lufisto either, some of this is clearly sour grapes. The truth is most likely somewhere in the middle. It's not a secret that locker room is catty, but I doubt a meeting was called specifically just to shit on Rosa like that and I'm not sure I buy TK would say the women don't draw to their faces.

Rosa would be the one I would want to hear from the most on all of this.

I would be interested in hearing Jade Cargill's take on this. It's sort of weird they were giving her a monster push, then she just packs up and leaves

Jade? Didn't she take some personal time away? I didn't think they didn't book her on purpose

More then rumors. She herself has said she is considering not coming back.

Doesn't mean it was locker room issues, her heart might just not be in wrestling, but hearing her take would be interesting.

I had always kind of had the feeling that Jade was in it more to push her brand and get the publicity, she was more into selling herself and trying the be a star than the actual grind of being a wrestler, so it wouldn't shock me if she moved on, but I think she might be overestimating her current star level / starpower

I do kind of find it hilarious that if the Bucks ever go over or win a title they are marks for themselves. Like the people that hate them just can't help but let their own hate over ride any semblance of logic. People similarly freaked the f*** out when the Bucks went over FTR in their first match and shocker....FTR wasn't buried by losing the first match to the Bucks.

It is what it is…right after getting those extensions if they go over on the best/hottest team in the world on that big of a stage (after conveniently not dropping the belts to FTR when it would’ve helped them out a lot) then we know what they asked for in those extension talks

Fortunately FTR never needed them. They got over huge because they are the best of the generation. It’s impossible for them to be buried by an inferior tag team when the world sees the truth for what it is. We had to watch FTR as glorified henchmen for awhile in “the company that would collapse” without the bucks. Thankfully FTR are undeniable.

My ultimate prediction is that FTR cheats to win. FTR goes heel. YB’s are protected. They can end up doing a best of 5

I think you are probably inferring to much. You have nothing to back up the Bucks demanding the title in their contract talks and even if they win the match that won't confirm your thoughts on it either. Nobody has any idea at all. You don't like the Bucks so if they go over you think they had to have politicked there way to the titles with nothing to actually back it up. All that said I do think FTR should win. I guess I just don't think the sky will fall if the Bucks win like some seem to think it will lol
