I think the good thing for the show was it actually did feel like an entirely different show to Dynamite where as Rampage has always from the jump just kind of felt like the Dynamite over run lol Hard to make over reaching statements based off of 1 week but it was a fun episode of wrestling.

Rampage always felt like Sunday Night Heat to me.

Wow... I just finished watching collision after returning from a wedding last night. That was an all around BANGER of a show.

Love Andrade and Miro getting some love. I agree with the rest of you in that Andrade and Matthew's stole that show, and it wasn't even close. Just a fantastic match (outside of Julia's stupid light up John Mayer hat).

Nigel M is, immediately, my favorite AEW commentator. Kevin K is good, but if I had a nickel every time he f***ed up a non Caucasian name I'd be a dollar richer. JR needs to just call it a day. I love the guy, always will, but I can't stand wincing every time he's on the air.

Chicago crowd is always top notch, they made that show so fun. That said...punk as a wrestler is f***ing boring as shit. Yep, he's fantastic on the mic and fantastic with his character, but in the ring
... I just don't get it. Never have and never will. There were 6 men competing and he was, easily, the worst of the lot.

I'm excited to have two really strong AEW shows, I just sincerely hope Punk isn't the cornerstone of Collision.

Punk is f***ing back. Can't wait to see the reactions he gets outside of Chicago and the eventual finish to the feud with MJF and hopefully his eventual match with Omega and the Elite.

Jay White is awesome. When I first got into NJPW back in early January, he was the guy that immediately hooked me in. Great wrestler, great talker, the whole nine yards.

Miro doesn't do it for me. I never really found myself missing him when he was gone from TV, but I can't deny that he looks like a machine. He might change my mind.

Andrade/Matthews was match of the night. I know Rush has gotten a lot of praise in the past little bit, but I still think Andrade is the best guy in LFI. If the direction they go is LFI/HOB then we should be in store for some excellent trios matches. Andrade/Black was always magic in NXT/WWE.
Miro doesn't do it for you? Shame on you! But I will agree, Andrade has been absolutely wasted in both AEW and the E... he's so good.

I hope "tell me when I'm telling lies" becomes a Punk catchphrase.

Is it pretty much guaranteed Punk will wrestle at Forbidden Door?

Watched Chaos (Romero + Best Friends) vs United Empire (Cobb/Ospreay/Fletcher) on Rampage before turning the rest of the show off

Good match. Cobb came out of it looking the best imo, they made him look like a real monster

I f***in love his work. He’s so so so good and needs to be on US TV. A believable ass-kicker

Him interrupting the hug by suplexing them all at once was a fun fun fun spot

Dave will always find excuses for why The Elite doesn't seem to draw compared to guys he doesn't like
Metlzer is a shill. He knows where he bread is buttered. People who love the Elite's style are more likely to pay for his content. Also, they give him access.

Seeing him trying to trash the Punk promo and saying the Elite could leave AEW as a result made me laugh. The only loss would be Omega.

You don't think Hangman would be a loss to the company? I mean come on lol I get that you hate the Bucks but try and look at it objectively.

Hangman has been very hot and cold. He has potential to be a star. As of today, he would not be that much of a loss, but if booked correctly he definitely could be a major draw.

The Bucks are niche as niche can be. They are not needle movers and I doubt the WWE would even be interested... and if they were they would not use them well.

I mean Hangman has consistently been the most over babyface in the entire company basically since AEW started. There are going to be high points and low points but him leaving would absolutely leave a void. I do agree with you about the Bucks though to a point, I think their niche is in AEW. If WWE signed them it would essentially be just to say they signed the Elite away from AEW, they would be DOA in WWE.

The Bucks are good business people for the Bucks. They know how to market themselves and they are very smart with merch.

In the ring, they are indy as indy can be, but it works for them (to an extend). Their characters are crap and uncompelling, but they make up for it with entertaining matches (it is a little much for my taste most of the times, but it does work with their fans). As you said, they would be DOA in WWE and I think they know it.

Hangman was VERY over for a while and has cooled down A LOT! I think it was more a booking problem than a Hangman problem. If booked well, he would be a star and a needle mover. Omega would be a needle mover if separated from the Bucks and focused on as a single. Some of his title run was not entertaining to me, but it mostly worked.

If all four became available, I am sure WWE would sign them for the blow to AEW, but I am pretty sure The Bucks would get the Saturn/Malenko treatment pretty quickly. Omega and Hangman? Yes, there is value there for any wrestling company.

Bucks would be jobbing to the OC in zero time flat
I honestly think that, if they leave AEW' they will go back to doing their own thing. They have to know that going to WWE would be a death sentence for them. Unless, of course, they are happy to take a fat retirement contract and do not really care about how they are booked... but I very much doubt that.

I don't see Hangman is a main event caliber guy. Never have.

There's just something about him that screams "upper mid card" but never a guy I want at the top.

Maybe it's his finishing move being something traditionally reserved for people much bigger than him that makes him unbelievable to me.

I enjoyed Collision immensely.

My main complaint was with commentary. I have no issues with Nigel or Kevin... Though it's going to take my brain a few weeks to clear out Kelly's familiarity from his WWF Heat/Metal/Jakked days. I think they need a third cog that has some more charisma, though I'm not sure who that would be.

And while I love JR, they should just use him for his dramatic sit down interviews and maybe commentary on PPV's.

I suppose they could certainly build the story over the next few weeks, but I found it weird that Andrade returned with no LFI and worked baby face

Yeah that is interesting. I feel like there's no point in turning Andrade heel when he came back face, but you also can't really turn LFI face after Vance heartlessly betrayed a 10 year old.

Maybe they build to the match and then a split after? Hard to gauge.

Honestly I know people think the Elite feed the dirtsheets info, when in reality I think everyone does. What is actually true though is that Meltzer has made himself a f*** load of money in the last half a year off of the drama between the Elite and Punk. It is absolutely to his benefit to keep throwing random bullshit at the wall to try and keep the clicks flying in.

And for that reason he’s not a journalist and shouldn’t be treated as such

Historian, yes. You probably won’t find a guy who knows the history more. Personality- sort of. Journalist? f*** no
