Battle of the Belts went off the rails...in lieu of their lack of PPVs, I was hoping they would used BotB like the old clash of the champions with a 2 or 3 hour PPV-lite type show...

But they botched that

I think my only issue with the Moxley stuff is Marinna. Not that she is involved or that she is choking guys out….but she is left in a spot where she is choking these guys out and they can’t come back at her? Like her showing up outside the arena and 10 guys just standing there awkwardly. If you are going to have a female wrestler get this physical with male wrestlers then you have to let it go the other way at some point or they just look like geeks. Or get some other women involved to combat her at the very least.

I agree. If you’re going to have a female in your unit, she’s gotta be able to have someone fight back. Will make more sense if they build to it, but there has yet to be evidence of that. And she isn’t even that good in the ring.

Because he wants to and Tony Khan still sees value in him despite his stuff having sucked for the last 2-3 years. Early AEW Jericho was cool, he fell off very quickly.

I think if they took Learning Tree off Dynamite where nobody wants it but sending it to ROH to work with developmentals it would be a pretty decent move.

Lashley is likely to got to AEW and probably reunite with Benjamin and MVP join the Hurt Syndicate faction. So my question is this: does AEW really need two heel factions with very strong WWE ties to the groups? Quickly merge the two group and lean heavy on the obvious WWE connection.

I don't think that's what they're going for. They're saying what Adam Cole did with the whole devil scheme was justified and that he was right all along because since MJF has come back, he's been a piece of shit. MJF is saying Adam Cole made him this way and he's to blame for everything he's done.

With that said, this story is cold and I'm not super into it. It doesn't really make sense for Roddy to be like "I WANT MJF FIRST" when MJF was on the roster from DoN 'til All Out.

Nahhh. I don't get the obsession about whether someone was in WWE or not. Talented wrestlers are talented wrestlers whether they're from WWE, NJPW, the indies, or Billy Gunn's cum. Their previous place of work shouldn't dictate what they do with them. Hurt Syndicate and Mox's group wouldn't mix well together either. They seem to have 2 completely different motivations.

The whole MJF/Adam Cole thing is highlighting how incongruent their creative is. When they both came back before, they basically told you they weren’t moving forward - which also made no sense. Now they’ve flipped sides, I’m guessing because MJF pushed to go heel because they didn’t have enough for him to do, since Adam Cole was still injured.

What was the story when that happened? Adam Cole returned and then needed another 5 months off. I get the biggest feud in the company had its legs cut out, but they had how long to figure it out?
