Who comes to help the elite?

Wonder who answers MJF. Whos even available? Punk would be meh to me. Then again him calling MJF a fake champion cuz he never beat him could work.

Funny enough CM punk was at the Rancid show in Las Vegas last night for the annual punk rock bowling fest. Brody king was also at the rancid show

Ibushi is definitely coming in for The Elite

Apparently kenny referenced two non-AEW friends, some randos said the other could be Scurll. I really f***ing doubt that one lol.

I would assume Ibushi comes in to even the field for blood and guts or something. Then Okada for a match with Mox at FD2

The 4way for the belt was the best match of the night imo

Wardlow/Christian over-delivered for me. Cole-Jericho underdelivered. I think Jericho might just be washed, he drains ppl of their over. His last good match imo was against Kingston. Both tag title matches were great. Jeff Hardy needs to retire, Jeff Jarrett does not. That is the difference between being a modern style worker and a classic southern style worker. Jarrett can go and make money doing this until he’s 70. Hardy is a train wreck at 45. The battle royal was very TNA until it got down to the last handful or so, then it was great. Love the TBS title stuff. Toni Storm szn. Main event was a lot, hopefully we get to see Takeshita in a prominent role going forward

Listened to Busted Open today...bully loves shitting on AEW but I think they had a good point about Jade/Stat...they sorta pissed away the 60 wins with no real build just for the pop...neither have momentum now...

At the time I liked it...but after hearing them talk thru it, I agree could have had Stat chase a bit and build it up...also would show she's not just going to get hurt again

I think Statlander has plenty of momentum, ppl are stoked to see her back

I know I said Jericho is washed but I also gotta say I die every time he does the fireball and says “I’m a wizard, bitch!”

I think it was fine how they did it. The shine has long fallen off Jade, it was time to make the switch right now. Putting it off would have lost the audience more I think.

Yeah like I get the point they are making but it was just time to make the switch. I think it will be good for Jade in the long run to because she is actually improving in the ring, getting the title off of her might actually give her more opportunities to continue improving.

it was dumb, but w/e. there was never gonna be a satisfying payoff to that streak

I agree with this. The only thing I’d say though is that Jade had absolutely no steam left. But this probably would be over had Statlander not gotten hurt again.

I think it was a good way to end Cargill's streak. Her streak got boring and the shock value works here. I don't think it's such a super rub to beat Cargill that you can't waste it on a surprise moment. I think it's more memorable than if you did it with a proper feud.

Agreed. I actually like Cargill, but the streak was beyond boring and stale. If she is actually taking some time off I expect her to come back a refreshed monster

- Ibushi maybe?

-Most likely someone from NJPW. Maybe Tanahashi or Naito? Don't think they do champ vs. champ with SANADA.

After that I'm guessing they set do Cole for All Out/In

Ugh - I really don't like mixed tag matches. :thumbd:

Hopefully the rest of the card is good.

Moxley and Takeshita are booked for a Wrestling REVOLVER show the same night as Collision's debut, so I guess this rumored soft roster split deal is going to be a reality in some fashion.

Aside from CM Punk and those that have been in promotional materials or even on TV (Miro, Thunder Rosa, Andrade, Scorpio Sky, I might be forgetting some?). I wonder who else returns, gets shifted from ROH or being buried on Dark, or maybe even debuts for Collision.

Lance Archer is probably a good bet with Forbidden Door coming up. Personally, I've been missing Serena Deeb from the women's division. I also sat behind a huge Pillman Jr. fan at Dynamite in Detroit, so maybe that guy will get his wish. Probably a good bet that Leyla Hirsch returns soon as a challenger for Statlander since Hirsch got injured before their program had a pay off last year.

I'm getting really scared seeing stuff about Goldberg though.... PLEASE NO

Going to be interesting to see how AEW rolls out all of these returns/etc. over the next 3 weeks of Dynamite/Rampage because I can't imagine they want the first Collision to be just 2 hours of surprises (or maybe they do...).

I kinda want that two hours of surprises now. Like just unveil a properly beefy, equal to Dynamite, Collision roster. Let’s f***ing go. Oh yeah, and get this shit on Canadian tv.
