Nick Wayne has the perfect look for the bratty, douchey, kid who thinks he’s king of shit look. We all know that kid from high school.

Jeez. I'm not one to generally shit on booking at the end of a strong show like tonight. But... OC winning back his belt weeks after he loses it. Shida winning back her belt weeks after losing it. I think both are the better champs ( I'm going to shit my piss when Hayter comes back) but dang, just some really bad short term plans here.

Shida feels like fixing a mistake. OC seems like a step backwards.

100%, especially with Shida. She's so good and that tiny little reign she held the last go around was stupid and losing the belt was obvious pandering to the All In crowd. I hope she holds the belt until Hayter comes back and we get another banger. Their last match is still one of my favorite AEW matches

Shida is the one to reset the division around to make the women feel important again IMO.

She should be doing what Becky is currently doing with the NXT title. Work horse champ having bangers and elevating talent until Hayter comes back.

Get some more talent on TV

Can someone fill me in on the quarters, because all I thought of was MJF's old promo against Punk when he talked about being bullied for being Jewish and like...I don't think this was the week for heels to reference that?

Was that a reference to that promo or do they do their own thing with quarters?
 
There was definitely a call back intended there. However, Juice has used a fistful of quarters punch before. See ~4:08:



2+2 = a logical step in what will be a decently long build.

About OC winning it back, it seems to be that Fenix is hurt. His back was already dying during his introduction.

I still stand by that Mox wasn’t going to lose the title and he called an audible.
 
I do have one minor complaint about AEW right now - I wish somebody in management would decide whether the BCC are heels or faces. One week they're attacking wrestlers with screwdrivers and then tonight they save a wrestler from a beatdown. Pick a freaking lane and stick with it. :nod:
 
Yeah they are definitely running on like plan C or D with the International title at this point. Mox was never supposed to lose it....and then was supposed to win it back tonight but didn't end up cleared....while the person who had to take the belt hurt his back. So it is definitely a little off but I am also not exactly sure what they could have done under that scenario lol shit happens sometimes.

I noticed it on Fenix’s introduction to the ring, he made one of his movements and his back was shot to shit.

I wonder why Mox wasn’t cleared but they were advertising him to be cleared. Just doesn’t make sense. Could have left it as the international title is on the line.

I don't really care all that much for political correctness, especially when it's an entertainment outlet where "bad guys" are supposed to be bad...

... But I'm not quite sure you can pick a worse time to reference throwing quarters at a Jew than a week when Israeli children are being beheaded.
 
Juice Robinson has been punching people with a roll of quarters, I don’t see how it all of a sudden became a problem this week. Did he specifically reference Max’s promo from way back? If not then this is the usual contrived BS from the IWC that doesn’t really matter

If so then yeah probably could’ve picked better timing, but even still…Meh. I’d imagine MJF approved of it in that event

Max lost his shit when he pulled them out and he has confirmed that they are calling back to his story about being bullied for being Jewish by people dropping quarters.

Someone higher up should have told them we aren't running that angle this week
