I thought Blood and Guts was terrific. But last nights show was basically a bad version of the later years of the Ruthless Aggression era.

Well, the later years of the Ruthless Aggression era were still miles better than anything WWE has done the past few years.

I'm not saying last nights show was great, it was well below average for Dynamite especially in terms of wrestling. I'm saying it was still better than any episode recent episode of raw or smackdown. Which it definitely was.

I've never heard or seen AEW make this claim about pro wrestling vs sports entertainment but assuming they have it's clearly a shot at WWEs cartoonish product. Not sure where you saw piles of spooky dark characters anyhow. The Dark Order made their first Dynamite appearance in months and there was nothing dark or spooky about it. Black had a brief promo but nothing Brody King did was dark or spooky. Maybe you think Penta and Thunder Rosa are dark spooky characters but they're really not.

Well they have.

The entire House of Black stuff is total garbage and has been done a million times. So generic. Guys with way too many tattoos playing dark brooding mysterious characters. Is there any difference in Black's WWE character and his AEW I don't see it. He sucked there and he sucks in AEW. Brody Kings entrance has that dark element to it.

Penta's presentation does have a dark element to it. It's not Undertaker level or anything but it's there.

I'm just sick of the same old generic shit that WWE has done for years and AEW is IMO incorporation more and more "Sports Entertainment" into their product.
 
I didn't get to watch. How was the Moxley vs. King match?

I guess it'll be Punk vs. Moxley at All Out. It's probably the best option too. I think the only downside is that it's 2 WWE guys.

I generally don't care for generic dark stuff either but the House of Black stuff is pretty mild compared to stuff the Wyatt Family or The Fiend did. I would prefer if they dropped it but all 3 guys are great workers so I can look past it.

Overall, I don't find AEW has a that much dark spooky content and they've definitely succeeded in putting on shows that have more actual wrestling than WWE. They just put on one of the best ppvs I've ever seen and it was all about great in ring work.

So random story but I got asked to work AEW’s show in Savannah on Wednesday. I’m very divorced from wrestling anymore, it’s very periphery. I know AEW is grander and edgier. Who/what should I be looking for while I help the cameraman?

You have NO idea how long I've been begging and pleading for AEW to come to Buffalo. Don't get me wrong, the two shows in Rochester were great(the Sept. 2021 show, which was delayed for well over a year and a half, more so than the one last Wednesday), but it's going to be fun to see AEW put their best foot forward on the post-All Out Dynamite.

Don't give them any ideas. :) And I'd BET they wanted to do something with Stefon Diggs(considering that when the Bills played Jacksonville in J-Ville last season, the guy's cleats had the AEW logo on them), but Diggs and the Bills will be in L.A. to take on the Rams the next day.
 
Does anyone have any news on MJF? Kayfabe he is suspended I guess.

Leading up to the PPV there was so much leaks and wether it is a work or not. Now we haven’t heard a drop?

Is he getting time off becuase he’s hurt or is it planned time for him to be off?
