Why did the best friends last so long against Mox and BD? I mean Chuck Taylor had to wrestle with a shirt on. Other than that a pretty good start.

Just started the show. The trios match was fun. Few wwe matches are that enjoyable. Not that all aew matches are but it's certainly a more common occurrence. So many matches planned for tonight. Making up for the talking last week?

Crowd was hot as f*** tonight
Thought the main event match itself was p bad. Britt's lack of selling throughout was very tough to ignore. Given tonight + Revolution, my conclusion is Britt vs Rosa only works when the match is taped and it can be chopped up.
Also, why is it always thumbtacks? Why does it feel like these matches in AEW always turn into Abyss tribute matches? We just saw tacks 2-weeks ago in MJF/Punk.

One thing I forgot to mention about last weeks show was the crowd was awful. Tonight the crowd was much better. That said despite missing the first 20 minutes I thought it was another soft show.

—I love Jericho as he’s my favorite of all time and I also like the idea of the Jericho Appreciation Society, but I’m not really sure about that team. 2.0 makes sense and I like that he gave them new names, Garcia perhaps not so much even though he’s solid. Hager is, well, Hager. Anyway while I laughed at the whole sports entertainment thing I’m not really sure where that’s going.
— I understand what they’re doing with Wardlow, and quite frankly I think this match highlighted what I’ve said about him before that I don’t think he’s great in the ring, but I thought that was a bad finish to that one. And I probably won’t even be that bothered by Sky being champion if they actually built him up prior to giving him the belt. What I can’t forgive though is the stupid American top team people, and I’m not talking about Lambert here, still being around. So you’re not gonna pay Cody but you’re going to pay them to be there. Thanks.
—Hardys match was meh, but I was never that big a fan of them anyway.
— I thought the main event was a bit of a mixed bag, but while on the one hand I’m not too surprised at the results I am on the other because I thought they’d never take that belt off Britt.

I think they’re just gonna use Jericho to get 2.0 and Garcia over, which is fine by me

I hope this feud is dead and buried and Rosa gets a good long run, maybe Deeb can be next up.

Britt's no selling was awful in this match, and Rosa seems like she might be nursing something, she wasnt as quick or crisp as she normally.

I wish they would tone it back on the hardcore stuff. It feels like it's broken out way too much. We just saw thumb tacks the other night and it feels like every women's main event they rush to blade. I don't think Britt made it 5 minutes before blading.

Aubrey is just too distracting for me. A ref should by and large be invisible in a match, you shouldn't notice them, but that's the complete opposite of what she does. She inserts herself into shots, she is so over the top. Very Earl Hebner school of getting yourself over as a ref.

Hopefully they give Rosa and new challengers lots of TV time. Been the Britt show for too long, they need extended focus on other women besides Britt and Jade.

More Deeb, more Shida. Maybe more Statlander (though I don't really like her much), but actually let Ruby get extended TV time.

Mostly more Deeb. She needs a dominant heel big belt run.

Heard how great of a moment the main event was last night so I went out of my way to watch it. First thing that jumped out to me is that even 2 and a half years in, Tony still can't time a show properly. And the women seemed to just want to get all of their shit in and hilariously stopped selling everything towards the end. A powerbomb on thumbtacks and a chair shot to the head both no sold. Just terrible. Here's my quote of the day from the great Lou Thesz:

"By the late 1940s, we'd begun to see a handful of boys who regularly used blood in their matches, and they used it for one simple reason: they couldn't do anything else."

I saw some highlights today which means I rewatched the part of last night. Some of those highlights didn’t include the first 20 minutes that I missed so I still have no idea what I missed, but anyway.

Upon second viewing I thought the Jericho promo was really good. And I love the idea and even the name Jericho Appreciation Society. And I understand that being a sports entertainer is a knock at WWE and quite possibly the AEW fans, but could someone please excuse my ignorance and provide some more background here. Is there something else to it?

Forget MJF‘s run in, I still think they botched that Wardlow match in other ways. For Sky to take that many power bombs and then still survive….

Upon second viewing I appreciated the women’s match more. I actually really liked how TR defended against the lockjaw, especially the second time. However as someone else noted I think AEW really needs to dial back on the blood. These matches feel less special if you do them too often.
