All Bruins rumors/proposals: MOD Warning in OP-The Spiral Staircase to the Deadline

I've been trying to check in but see mostly speculation. .. any concrete rumors? I expect we will be surprised by any moves that go down outside of Eriksson... wondering if there is a chance a move is made prior to the game/Sunday's game?

Cowen was absolutely atrocious for Ottawa the last few years. His contract makes it even worse.

It's hard to see what anyone saw in him as a prospect, but there must have been something (9th overall in 2009). Can he be reclaimed? Probably not... worth a shot/better than what we have? Definitely not.

But there is something that intrigues me for some reason.

Still, I would not claim him. I would only consider a trade if TO retained some ridiculously high amount of his salary. And I would want to make sure I could waive him off the books completely (and have the OK to pay him whatever in Providence).

Anyway, probably just stay away is the best thing to do.
 
Somewhat related to this thread. Is Eriksson playing tonight? Wouldn't you think if we were about to move him he should be scratched? I'd certainly not take any chances if I was DS. Perhaps him playing is an indication he's going to be signed.

Agreed, not sure why anyone in the playoffs wants to trade with Chicago. Unless they think the player will sabotage them :)

Not necessarily. Ladd was a last minute scratch and planned to play that night. We won't know until minutes before the game.

I know but I'd be so worried about him getting injured and then we get absolutely nothing for him. Now if we're signing him it's a complete non issue. I still think it's best to move him now with prices so high.

Unless Bruins add to it to get a top 2 d man they will not get back a roster player of equal value.So I ask.Is is better to just sign him or get picks and prospects?O and just my opinion.;)

:laugh: Don;t know much about him but that his production has dropped quite a bit this year. Do the Bruins and Russians mix? Is he a Claude player?
