Guy is becoming a superstar how much longer can we keep him off the 1st PP?
I'm from Hamburg. Avatar is my city and the logo stands for the HSV, my favorite football club.Wrong team but MO is a stud , where you from?
I agree it's tough at this point of the season. That said, I wouldnt hate it if Mika keeps playing like he has. He's been brutally bad, especially on the powerplay. I think Laffy would take that unit out of its funk, but I totally agree that it would be a massive risk right now. It's hard to make big time changes to the PP in the middle of the playoffs since it's been so good for so long but it's been bad 7 straight games now.

Agree, but that said, can't be worse than Mika as a trigger man right now. That one timer is so played out. Flat out doesn't work anymore. The only problem I have is that they won't really have a triggerman if they demote Mika. Panarin can be that but that's not his specialty ditto Laf.

Mika hasn't scored since his 2-goal Game 1 against the Canes 5/5. Prior to that, his last goal was on 4/23 Game 2 against the Caps. Fun fact: those are his only 3 goals this post-season, and we're basically a week away from it being a month from Mika's last playoff goal.Agree, but that said, can't be worse than Mika as a trigger man right now. I have to say he’s so much better on the left side and I pray we can find a way to get him there at some point. like he’s not bad as a right winger, but like an analogy I heard about left tackle vs. right tackle, it’s like trying to wipe your ass with your other hand. it’s something you really have to train yourself to do well.
you see him constantly find him drifting to the left side. and that gorgeous second goal was a rush from him from the left sideDon't you think he's got enough experience now that it doesn't matter?
Lafrenniere took it to another level in gm. 3!!! Holy guacamole! Two beautiful goals!!! Amazing- I'm really happy for him.True. I was more referring to the ‘Calder hype’ which obviously is not #1 hype (but we can add weird Covid years in there when he came in). There were definitely concerns when bread moved on to Columbus IIRC.
Laf is the real f*ckin’ deal. Getting involved and grabbing the mighty mouthpiece biting boy by his annoying face was wonderful to watch after troch scored.
Make those changes now because the PP is shit at the moment and Laf is on fire and he's super confident with the puck. It's hard to make big time changes to the PP in the middle of the playoffs since it's been so good for so long but it's been bad 7 straight games now.
This is why I was banging the drum to integrate Laf into PP1 from time to time during the regular season. PP1 went ice cold after game 2 against NJD last playoffs and it cost us greatly. Now its gone cold again... All I heard was "we can't mess with PP1"... Well what's going on now is why we SHOULD have. It's hard to make big time changes to the PP in the middle of the playoffs since it's been so good for so long but it's been bad 7 straight games now.

I've been a drum beater of leave it as is, it's the best PP in the league over the past X years. However playoffs are a short series, there's only so long you can keep them together hoping they figure it out. We're at 8 games of ice cold and I feel like Lavi has enough of a pulse of the team to slowly start intergrading Laf on PP1, he's been pretty fire at 5 on 5, the writing is on the wall. So far we've gotten by, but there's only so long we can keep it up. I don't expect a complete integration of Laf but here and there to see if it provides a spark and if it does, then more and more. This is why I was banging the drum to integrate Laf into PP1 from time to time during the regular season. Yeah, didn’t want them to dismantle the PP, it was obviously top notch. I just wanted them to have contingencies in place BEFORE playoffs started.I've been a drum beater of leave it as is, it's the best PP in the league over the past X years.
