Pettersson?Obviously they both have a lot of value but I can't think of a team that'd deal "a young elite center" for them. Those players just don't get moved

Didn't Marner play C in juniors? He's pretty good on defense. Maybe there's something there. Not young but maybe Toronto would offer them Tavares lol
Why wouldn't they? More importantly though, why would Edmonton do that?If you're the Rangers, would you give up Lafreniere and Kaako for Draisaitl?
New York's top 6
Panarin - Draisaitl - Kreider
Kravtsov/Chytil - Zibanejad - Strome
Edmonton's top 6
Hyman - McDavid - Puljujarvi
Lafreniere - RNH - Kaako

If you're the Oilers, do you give up Broberg + Bourgault for Fox?
He's a top 5 player in the league and they're a major destination market. If they can figure out a way to make the cap work it's a no-brainer, they'd figure out how to re-sign him. I think it's iffy the two of them combined will ever equal Draisaitl's career high season in points. They lose immediate cap space, Lafrieniere and Kaako are under team control for more years, Draisaitl can leave as a UFA in 4 years, Kaako and moreso Lafreniere's upside, the age of the players involved
Keep adding, that is not enoughIf you're the Rangers, would you give up Lafreniere and Kaako for Draisaitl?

Pls no I love you KupoYou’re about 1 or 2 posts from getting blocked.
Yes, but Fox is under team control for the next 8 seasons... Draisaitl can leave in UFA in 4 years
do lafreniere and kaako have double the value of what eichel returned? because healthy drai definitely is much more valuabale 'as heading for surgery' eichel. edmonton would ask for much more before start to consider. If you're the Rangers, would you give up Lafreniere and Kaako for Draisaitl?

Don't know about the other guys but Kakko was rushed, just like Kotkaniemi. I know Kakko had a better draft season and even played a good WC tournament, but still. There was times when he looked dominant in Liiga but also some areas he could've still work on there. I just don't see the benefit to bring in these 18yo europeans when they're playing pro at home and could still learn stuff there. For example i think if Florida brought Lundell in last season he could've easily be overwhelmed and might still struggle. Instead they were patient and made the right call and it seems to already be paying off and will even more so in few years. Sharks also making the right call rn with Eklund. What's up with the Rangers' development of forwards? Kakko hasn't shown any progression, Laf has looked decent but not 1OA level, Kravstov and Lias Anderson both want / wanted out.
The D seem to develop better but if you look at the forwards drafted in the early rounds, there isn't the same growth.
