Facts. And Panarin can be on that level long enough, i mean look at Kane. Laf is lower calibre player, even at his best.I think he is 3rd behind McDarai in P/GP. Laf will never reach that level of play IMO.

Well..that is something that would need to be figured out. Situations change annually . Never say never....I am absolutely certain we will be a much more well rounded club without him and with a young center instead and 5 more million to spend at the time when it will be needed . Anyways...that is if he waived....Who are you trading him to that he's waiving his no-move for, other issues aside.
I would not say his attitude is that great...did you forget his Winter vacation last season ? His out of shape slow start this season ? Those were two things that did not have to happen . He could have played last Winter and did his stuff and he also could have came to camp in shape . What will it be from him moving forward ?Trade Panarin? Have an allergy to great players with great attitudes that are loved by their teammates and the fans? Laf and Bread can flourish as teammates; patience.
Yes that is all true . Yes he would have to agree to it..that is a given and everybody in here knows that . Has he set any playoff records with us ...I look forward to your summary on those in 2 years time . If within the next 2 seasons another team wanted him....anything can be worked out . Scenarios change ....Panarin has been here 2 seasons, and put up the 4th and 5th highest single season P/GP in franchise history. Panarin also has a full NMC. He also has an 11.6m cap hit which almost no team can afford, and the ones that can he ain't waiving for.
Not with Kreider and Panarin in front of him.I think he is 3rd behind McDarai in P/GP. Laf will never reach that level of play IMO.

Thanks for this, I feel like this context is important. He's obviously not blowing the doors off or anything but considering the circumstances of his early career it's really not as bad as people seem to think, at least to me. He's in the same ballpark as everyone on this list from McDavid and below. What this chart tells me the most is he needs to shoot more.I decided to look up comparables.
Parameters:
- Since 2000
- U21
- First 90 NHL games
- Min 20 ES goals
Only 21 in 22 years.

At 5 on 5 he is almost there with Kreider right now goal wise with worse linemates and less ice time . That's an assumption but I think I am somewhat close on the basis of that summation . Somebody likely knows the exact numbers for both . Stat guys do a great job ! Looking at Sports Forcaster stats....Kreider has 4 more even non PP points then Laf who has 11 . I'm not sure on the breakdown of 5 on 5 ice time amounts for each .If he isn't good enough to supplant Kreider in the first place then he would never reach that top level of play anyway.
Honestly im not sure what game you watched.Saw more from Zegras in one period than Laf in total
Serious?Honestly im not sure what game you watched.
Laf in the 2nd and 3rd period was absolutely one of the best players on the ice.
This hate on laf has gotten kinda rediculous.
Serious?
He's a nothing sandwich.
You know why MSG keeps interviewing him between periods?
He's available.

You mean panarin with the 11m salary and full NMC?I'd be down to trade Panarin, and don't feel it is such a terrible thing to do, provided we were 100% certain to land Matthews in FA and were trading Panarin to swap in/out the salaries and gain assets in return.
Basically, Panarin out, Matthews plus Panarin return in. That is a huge net gain for nothing more than UFA money.
Our LW depth is deep for years to come with Kreider, Lafreniere, and Othmann. Our Center depth is serviceable but suspects with no clear answers in the prospect pool.

Full NMC.Woops. My memory is f'ed anymore. I could have sworn I looked him up last year for some reason and didn't see any riders.
What the chart and watching Laf tells me is that he doesn’t generate enough shots. Thanks for this, I feel like this context is important. It means he's not needed in the break... the players and coaches have shit to talk about. He's not necessaryWhat does that even mean?
Yes because you’re inside the locker room listening to those discussions. It means he's not needed in the break... the players and coaches have shit to talk about. He's not necessary

Zegas had one shot hit the crossbar and made one little spin move, that was his whole game. I guess he only watched 2 shifts of hockey.must have watched the wrong game.
one of them was invisible yesterday and it wasn’t Laf.
