Laf has shown his shot this year with some crazy snipe attempts but came away with some posts, crossbars (terrible angle bar and out I specifically remember being impressed by) and great glove saves. Nice to see him cash in, what a RIP that was last night.

Wait, wait, wait. Hold up a minute. I thought he was ruined? I thought that he was not allowed to play a game that he was comfortable with? I mean just the other day, weren't there speculations as to how Stutzle was being developed properly by letting him do what he wants while Lafreniere and Kakko were being turned into grinders? Wasn't Stutzle the better player? What is going on?

Well said. This is pretty much the summary of Quinn. Kaapo giving up trying to be creative last year because of Quinn's suffocating over coaching is what we've been seeing with every single young forward. Quinn is trying to create an entire team of Jesper Fasts.
The ruination continues

It was. He's doing much better on a line with creative players in Zibanejad and Buchnevich, and Chytil and Kakko prior.

Good observation.
There was nothing of that being done, Mr. "McDavid would only have 40 points under Quinn". When told what circumstances Lafreniere came into the league, it was much easier to ignore what possible effects that could have on a teenage rookie and just blame the coaching staff.

Does anyone have a clip of the snipe he had against (I think) the Isles that was waved off because he knocked the puck down with a high stick? That was an incredible shot.
