He's had a tough year, but hopefully he can turn it around here. I'll wait and see on that one, but I liked what I saw previously, so hopefully he can add some stability. The team still has too many questions marks on the right side. How will Mailloux adapt to the speed of the NHL ? How will Reinbachers skating and timing look after a serious knee injury ?

From the descriptions we're getting, he sounds like a good pickup all things considered. He's mobile, and he plays good D. Looking at his numbers the offense isn't as bad as I expected. I think he could look good with Xhekaj or Guhle.

Gonna fetch us a 1st in a year or 2 when Reinbacher/Mailloux are ready but in the meantime, welcome back home.
Nashville fan here. He's not going to net you a 1st, if he was going to we'd have done it by now.

He's a good no.5 defenseman who can play in the top 4 sporadically or more permanently when tied to a more stable partner.

I’m not a scout by any means but the closest player I see to Alex Carrier is probably Chris Tanev.
For his size he’s very physical and has active pokecheck.
If the goal is to win a trade, then yes we got the better player of the two Carrier/Barron.

5’11”-6’0” for a defenseman is small. But so is Kris Letang.

Put them neck and neck and it becomes obvious why Trotz could not resist reaching for Barron. :sarcasm:
