This sucks! I was still bullish on Justin Barron. I wish him all the best, I’m sure he will figure it out somewhere down the line and have a respectable career.

He has the skating skills to be a NHL player for quite a while.

Well 5th is still third pair duty. Anything higher and you will get a dman playing over his minutes. Wish he was more physical but he can play defensively something that Barron has no idea to do

I was never a Barron fan and getting a vet who actually plays D is great. If this could somehow facilitate a Matheson trade or significantly lower his defensive minutes it's well worth it.

So Carrier was averaging 20 mins a night in Nashville and was used a lot on the PK. Also RHD. He's 28 so he adds some much needed experience to the blueline. Kind of seems like a perfect fit for our team right now, just wish he was bigger.

Barron, was just too soft and lost in his own end. No room for a guy like him with so many young Ds already here and others coming.

He's more of a 5/6 and can maybe get some Top-4 time here and there. He averages around 20 minutes a game. I think one advantage here is that Carrier can be used on the PK, which hopefully means less Matheson.
