50 would be amazing. But after losing 16 games (20% of the season), that is a hill too tall to climb, sadly.Want to see Ovie score 60 goals this year!!!
Records are meant to be broken...Gretzky broke Howe's...Richard broke Malone's 44 by scoring 50...Selanne 76 broke Bossy's, Perreault Broke Ferguson/Grants,Martin broke Perreault's and on and on its fricking exciting and it doesn't matter the Nationality it brings Hockey to the Forefront and shows Hockey to be the Greatest Game on EarthMan the main board would lose their collective *cough* Canadian *cough* minds!
Have faith Ovie has the ability to go on some mean streaks...50 would be amazing. But after losing 16 games (20% of the season), that is a hill too tall to climb, sadly.
Ovie will get a break in Feb for the 4 Nations thing too I see him potting 60 goals baby!!!Its going to be close. If he does it this year, it'll be the last month. Not much margin now. I still bet he does it this year.
I still wonder where Jagr would be on the points/goals list if he hadn't sojourned to the KHL for those few years in his 30s.He needs 3 more goals to hit 400 from age 30 and on.
397 goals in 688 games. 47.3 goals over 82 games.
Howe - 415
Esposito - 409
Ovechkin - 397
Bucyk - 374
Selanne - 338
Brett Hull - 328
Dionne - 321
Messier - 314
Jagr - 306
Gartner - 304
Hard to say because he mentioned that he came back to the NHL after missing it. By age 34 he had dropped to 30 goals and then by age 35 he had dropped to 25. He had 71 points in his last season before going to the KHL.I still wonder where Jagr would be on the points/goals list if he hadn't sojourned to the KHL for those few years in his 30s.
Imagine if Ovi hadn't lost almost two seasons ti lockouts.
