You've given zero specific critique of his on ice play. Just admit you don't watch him.I've already explained it. If you keep asking me it doesn't make you suddenly right.

You don't need to do anything, just know how silly it looks to criticize a fanbase for defending their player's value without actually watching them play.No need for me to justify myself to you tbh.
How about a slightly used Timo Meier? Hell the Devils would probably throw Nemec in as well.
I don't see Vlasic ever hitting 50 points.
If Vlasic is a #3 or 4 Dman on any team in 3 to 5 years then I expect that team to be a SC contender.
That's fair. It's also fair to suggest he could hold down a top-pairing role on a SC contender, especially if the Hawks have a RHD partner for him to provide the scoring punch that is probably higher than Vlasoc is capable of.
If the stars align and the Hawks are fortunate to get the top draft position - there's a strong argument for the Hawks to select BPA which is probably LHD Schaefer even though LHD is not an area of need. In that case Vlasic would most likely be on the 2nd pairing with either Rinzel or Levshunov - whichever one is not on the top pairing with Schaefer.

If all of them pan out? That's like saying Ekholm was clearly the #4 when Nashville had him, Josi, Ellis, and Subban all in their prime. That's just simply a ridiculous D-core, any one of those 4 guy on Nashville would have been 1st pair just about anywhere else in the leagueSo to me you have...
Schaefer - Rinzel
Vlasic - Levshunov
Who is the clear # 4 out of that group?
At this point? Vlasic is the best defenseman. So to me you have...

No you just have an amazing defensive group.I'm not always a "BPA no matter what" guy - I think there can be circumstances to pass on the BPA - but in this case I agree with you on taking Schaefer if they have the chance.
Besides - inserting Schaefer into that lineup makes trading Vlasic a lot less controversial.

Vlasic would be an ideal fit for the Detroit Red Wings but Im not sure we have the pieces to land him.
Schneider does nothing for us and Lafreniere has broken 50 points once in five seasons. Trading Vlasic for that would be utterly ridiculous.Lafreniere and Schneider being waved off.
Of course Detroit has the pieces to land him. They just aren't the pieces Detroit wants to deal.I'm gonna take a wild guess that Raymond is not available.![]()

Teams don't build their bluelines around Alex Vlasics.
Jake Muzzin, Brian Dumoulin, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Dennis Seidenberg, Erik Cernak.
These are players that are on championship teams, but aren't core.
