Corey Pronman's NHL prospects I was wrong about, 2024 edition. AKA "The Full Musto". Vlasic tops the list.

He wasn’t amazing in school, but the tools still looked excellent and I shouldn’t have moved the needle so drastically from a guy I projected as a No. 4-6 NHL D to someone who wouldn’t play.

Yep. I don't think even his biggest fans were expecting him to become one of the best shutdown defenders in the league (if that's even where he tops out).

I shit on him a lot. He's an awesome, local, success story.

Should be in the league right now.

What's probably going to happen is he'll go and play in the SHL or the Swiss league for a season where he becomes league MVP. Every NHL team realizes they f***ed up, and so they all rush to try and sign him. Ian comes back to the NHL as a top 4 defenseman on a Cup winning team.

Here in reality, he's a 25 year old AHL Defenseman. Even Forsling, a posterchild for a guy the NHL completely gave up on that turned into a big player on a Stanley Cup winner, was an established Top 4 Defenseman on a playoff team at that age.

People forget Forsling was acquired for Adam Clendening from Vancouver, dressed/played for the Blackhawks, traded to Carolina for Calvin deHaan…it was Carolina who gave up on him…
