Tuch's and Kempe's 5-on-5 scoring are very similar since Tuch arrived in Buffalo. Tuch actually outpaces Kempe a smidge in about 40 fewer games (missed a chunk of '21-22 recovering from his shoulder surgery).

So what would Kings' fans accept for Kempe? That's the sort of deal it would likely have to take.

What about this as a potential deal for Tuch?

To Buffalo: Trevor Moore, Jordan Spence, and a 2026 1st round pick

To Los Angeles: Alex Tuch

Sabres get a serviceable middle 6 winger, a young RHD with top 4 potential, and a 1st round pick. Kings get the right shot scoring top 6 winger they've desperately needed all year. Everyone wins (except the Sabres who likely keep losing).

Offer nowhere close..

I like Spence, but he's a bottom pair D. Not a key piece to acquire Tuch.

kempe is similar to tuck

How about Kempe for bryson and a 25 3rd since we wouldnt need to unload salary

Pass.

Turcotte and Greentree gets the conversation started.
Not for the Kings.

Always wondered if Doughty would go to Buffalo. Close to home & to have fun with the Canadian media, but not have to deal with the craziness.

...so...if Buffalo wants upgrades on their players, but all they get is picks/prospects offers from contenders, are they just gonna roll out the same roster next year??... :dunno:

Honestly, the roster is not bad on paper. They have a big hole when you look at their top two centers, and they definitely would be much better if they had an allstar pivot up front. They also could use a true 3/4 veteran D in their top 4, but many worse rosters have made noise in the playoffs in the past.

The problem is that this team doesn't play as a team at all. The coaching staff has the least qualified assistants in the league (by a large margin), and Ruff wants the team to play a style that is not conducive to the personnel on the roster.

If they want to keep ruff and find success, the roster needs an overhaul. Or they can find a coach whose strength is getting skilled guys to play team positional hockey, and I think they'll be fine. Knowing Pegula and Adams, I will have to assume that they will mostly try to roll out the same next year though.
