I'm not tied to Tuch like most fans are. Buffalo needs to revamp the top-6, though, and I'm not sure a future's package is a worthwhile trade unless the future GM can flip those assets for roster upgrades.

Touch is a local area kid with fan popularity.

Just from a PR standpoint if you are to trade him something must be coming back that isn’t future magic beans.

Alex is 28 years old in is prime , he will ask a good 8mil in 2 years for 7 years, will end up being a bad contract in 4 years after that signing.

But as a Habs fan i would make a bid for sure., especially with is brother in the Habs lineup eventually.

I think CGY first (between 12 and 22) + Armia/Dvorak + 2 good prospect between Beck/Roy/Kapanen/Struble/Engstrom/Mesar/Dobes/Thorpe

Then Sabres tank again for a top 5 again

Pretty bad for Buffalo, imo.

Would you trade 3 quarters and a nickel for a dollar? Of course not, so why should Sabres fans

No we don't want prospects..no we don't want picks.

If you are in the mix of the playoffs a deal is probably not in the cards because we want upgraded roster players.
How do u propose they upgrade the roster players?

I'd think Tuch is probably near the least likely piece for Buffalo to move. Never say never i guess, but i think it'd have to be a doozy of a deal to even really think about it. They need more players like him, not less. Plus he's got important chemistry with other key guys there. Also a more or less "local kid" and seems to be well-liked by the fans as well.

Only reason i could see that changing, is in the summer...if they don't think they can convince him to re-sign. But he still has another year on his absolutely ridiculous cheap sweetheart deal. So even then, they'll have time to figure things out.

Does that really need to be answered? .. Seems pretty obvious to me. Use roster players plus futures to upgrade ... hence why I said playoff teams are probably not going to be in the mix

Tuch got offended when the fans booed the team, and he and Okposo told the rest of the players to not salute the fans anymore after games...I despise the guy...I hope he's shipped out...Give us your offers...no reasonable offer refused.

Don't really see a deal between LA and Buffalo for Tuch.

Tuch (if traded) would likely be used as part of a package to land a very good defense-first RHD or a very good two-way center (who can play 2C minutes). I don't see LA having either of those pieces to spare.

Plus.....I really can't see Tuch being traded at all unless he's quietly asked out.
What about this as a potential deal for Tuch?

To Buffalo: Trevor Moore, Jordan Spence, and a 2026 1st round pick

To Los Angeles: Alex Tuch

Sabres get a serviceable middle 6 winger, a young RHD with top 4 potential, and a 1st round pick. Kings get the right shot scoring top 6 winger they've desperately needed all year. Everyone wins (except the Sabres who likely keep losing).

Sabres don't need more 1st round picks. We need NHL players to assist us in making a playoff push.

Moore doesn't move the needle for us at all and we've got an older more physical version of Spence right now in Clifton.

I just don't see LA feasibly having the parts that Buffalo wants in order to trade Tuch.

Not one of those pieces is even a little bit interesting.

I'd actually say Jokiharju is more like the slightly older, slightly bigger version of Spence. But point still stands. Sabres don't need 24 year old small 4/5 tweener with "top-4 potential" defencemen. They need a bonafide Top-4 defensive-minded shutdown type RHD.

None of those pieces do anything for Buffalo really. They don't need a 30-year old middle-six winger. And a likely mid-late 1st that isn't even in the upcoming draft, but the one after that is so many years in the future away from making any kind of impact.

If Tuch is even actually moved, there are a lineup around the block of teams that would be willing to put a top prospect or good young player on the cusp on the table for him at his sweetheart cap hit with an extra year left.
