Maybe you could image it if someone offered you $84 million...Nice to snag a 2027 3rd.
Can't imagine bailing on my Cup contending "childhood team" full of my best friends for a million bucks a year (that will get wiped out by home prices/COL) but hey. Very content to root against him and a Caps team that has always given me the ick.
Is Washington at the contract limit?Someone explain to me the Kampf piece. Why?
Maybe you could imagine it if someone offered you $76 million.....Maybe you could image it if someone offered you $84 million...
That's why I am asking. WAS 39/50 after Tuch - so nowhere near the ceiling. Is Washington at the contract limit?
I’m sure your heartstrings could be had for less than $8M.Maybe you could imagine it if someone offered you $76 million.....
If he complains about it imma call him Whine KampfThat must suck to just be thrown into a trade for no reason at all but just because, if I'm Kampf I'm not feeling all that special right now.
Francis is not a good GM. Carolina really didn't start making any headway until he left. Don't know who was advising ownership, but they certainly didn't point them towards the best and brightest. They could've gotten Jeff Gorton.Ha. Believe it or not he has been better than Francis. Small sample size and it's really not saying much after the job Francis did.
The ownership is being idiotic and has tied Botterill's hands in a way because they are delusional and think we are actually a good team close to making the playoffs every year. But I think they are learning the hard way right now because no one wants to waive to come to Seattle and the UFA market sucks outside of Tuch. So with him gone, atleast we hope that Botterill can save the team from himself.
hero. you're a hero. I spit my popcorn out...If he complains about it imma call him Whine Kampf
What I'm about to say is an enormous stretch:So this Kampf thing... any explanation from the teams? I'm baffled.
What I'm about to say is an enormous stretch:
Maybe Jarmo is using it as some sort of leverage thing with Beck? Like "Hey, I just acquired this guy's rights. Maybe I'll just sign him"
From what I've read, T.O. is the only place he wanted to go. Grew up a Leafs fan, comes from there and his dad passed away recently so probably wanted to be closer to family. That did not seem to make a difference in the Raddysh trade.

This is the most likely. There is not really any other reason. Maybe someone will ask Jarmo and alleviate our curious minds.Nah. Although they may be talking to Kampf early as a depth option? Weird. He was a good PKer in Toronto but there is no pop in his stick. He is where offense used to go to die in Toronto.
Maybe you could imagine it for the $8 million difference.Maybe you could imagine it if someone offered you $76 million.....
Jarmo in his presser mentioned having too many forwards and needing to make room for the talented youngsters pushing their way into the line-up. He named Helenius, Ostlund and Kulich. My guess is he's trying to find a D to replace Byram.Term.
That's why I am asking. WAS 39/50 after Tuch - so nowhere near the ceiling.
Maybe the Sabres want to sign him as a 4th liner. That would be the only logic - early negotiation rights.
