Right now he is shelved. For how long? Will he wear 89? What players will he fit in with?

He had surgery in July with 6 months recovery so wont see him til January/February at the earliest.

Tuch fills the void left in my heart when we traded Foligno 5 years ago. This dude is gonna be a fan favorite, people forget how much fun it is watching a guy play a simple, heavy, north/south game.

Only if he comes with Mysak too, so we can run a prospect line of Tuch Mysak and Pekar (which will also be my new fantasy team name). Sure, it only works if you pronounce the names wrong, but have we truly learned nothing from Rob Ray?

I could see Tuch being a 30-30 guy if he could ever stay healthy.

Teams are looking for good players signed to good contracts. Buffalo has one here at 4.75M for 5 more years. This gives the Sabres another 5.25M for another good player or players when you subtract Tuch's cap hit from Eichel's cap hit. There are many ways to build a team in the cap era. Spreading out the cap instead of focusing it on one player can be just as effective.
