If they don't sign him by June, he re-enters the draft. Would have to get unpicked there before Hawks could sign him to an AHL deal. If he got re-selected, the new drafting team would hold his rights for 2 more years, at which point they could do the Year 1 OA and Year 2 AHL Contract deal before giving him an ELC if they think he's progressed well enough. Hawks have had Marcel Marcel on an AHL deal after drafting him as an age 19 player, while holding his draft rights and deciding if they want to give him an ELC or not for comparison.I mean this definitely doesn't need it's own thread but I don't see him getting an NHL deal. An AHL contract sure.

Maybe. It’s a pretty bad draft so idk what the rest of the 6th-7th round potential options out there look like.I can't see Pharand being drafted again if the Hawks don't sign him and I can't see another team signing him to an NHL deal when his rights expire. He's a very bland player. Big guy, but not very physical, doesn't play with an edge, doesn't score.
I mean if there's room for Taige Harding why not Pharand
