hmmmm no. bad exemple. Ovie has no work ethic outside the rink and his slump is a direct result of that.

Yes, Ovy became one of the top 2 hockey players in the world because he has no work ethic. How the hell do you think he became so elite in the first place?

I wish some of you would think for 10 mins before posting.

It is no secret that Ovechkin has had serious conditioning problems in the last couple of years.

I think his wrister will find the back of the net this series. I can't wait to see him just rip it.:handclap:

This.

I've been waiting for it all season...he's gonna win us a game with that shot.

People will forget about Karlsson and start talking more about Chucky and HIS top level skills. Gally's already getting the praise he deserves, which I love.

I wouldn't put too much emphasis on these ''reports''. They said the same thing about him this year early in the season, to the point where people were starting to talk trade/buyout, and at the end of the year he wins the Art Ross, and could be nominated for the Hart.
Last year was the same thing, except Hunter had nothing but good things to say about the guy, and the Caps went on a nice run in the PO with Ovie leading the production.

I think things happened with the Caps, maybe some things set him off, maybe he just struggled with the new systems under Hunter and early this year under Oates.
But I have a hard time believing he actually was in bad shape. Maybe he wasn't in peak shape, but I doubt it really was a problem, I mean how would you explain this year's turnaround??

My comparison of them is that talented players( I could have used Pacioretty as an example)...is more to say that when these very skilled players go through slumps, they often come out of it a better player...that is all.

Chucky did very good in his first playoff game. He and Gallagher were one of our best forwards.

Will he replace Eller? I think it might give him an opportunity at center.

A couple of stats...

Galchenyuk becomes the youngest player to record a point in the playoffs since Ryan O'Reilly in 2010.
Also the youngest player to record an assist since Patrice Bergeron in 2004.

He becomes the 43rd player ever to record a point as a "18 years old" (at season start) in the playoffs (and 36th player ever to record an assist).

He's centering the third line so let's see how he reacts.:)

People were praising him during the third for a certain play but I was outside for a min so I missed it. Anyone got a vid?

he's not a flashy skater but his hands are outstanding. Chucky reminds me of a young Pavel Datsyuk.

He dangled Gonchar with an outside in deke and went in for a scoring chance.

He will be the best player out of the 2012. It's funny because we've had such ****** luck with key injuries to key players over the years, and the only reason we got him was cause he got hurt. Dare I say poetic justice. Keep it coming Chuck.

Still a teenager! Played 15 minutes tonight, displayed some amazing moves, made a great pass on the GWG

That Gallagher goal was textbook creating something out of nothing. Galchenyuk was literally surrounded by 4 Sens. Had patience and kept the puck, then we all know what happened a few seconds later.

Beautiful.
