How does that kool-aid tasteLmao, Dorion got Yzerman to pay a 1st round pick for a player that was probably going to sign with them next summer anyways.

No it’s not. They’re completely independent of each other.
Debrincat had 4 even strength goals in his last 36 games, so what is your point. For anyone who just took a look at Kubalik's stats and saw he had 45 points this past season, don't get too excited.
21 of his 45 points came in the first 18 games. Had 24 points in the next 61 games.
He's a mediocre forward barely worth his 2.5M cap hit. Certainly no center piece,

tbf he's a great 3rd liner but we need Dorion to get a replacement for the 2nd line. For anyone who just took a look at Kubalik's stats and saw he had 45 points this past season, don't get too excited.

I know, I watched him. But we’re still downgrading and losing CatKubalik is good
If only the sale could’ve been completed within the original timeline, Andlauer could have saved us from another horrible Dorion stinker. Turning the 7th, 2nd and 3rd into this package one year later is a fireable offense in and of itself. Let alone all the other shit deals he’s done. He’s a dead man walkingSquandered the 7th overall pick into Kubalik and a late 1st. Will likely be Dorion's last major move as an NHL GM.
