Until he talks about it there’s no way to know. Roch is going to be lighter on skill prospects once Quinn and JJ move up so maybe Buffalo was looking to him as a fit for the development spots there.Wonder what the plan is here. Maybe not a lot of opportunity in Dynamo’s KHL club? Just an assumption but playing in Roch could be more enticing to him, allowing a better adjustment to NA style.
Kisakov has no contract for next year and is going to be 20 in November. Weird to think of them maybe signing him, especially at his size, but I wonder if that's something they would think of trying?
Well, there's a whole host of things that could factor into a decision like this for a player, considering what's going on. It might not have much to do with hockey at all. Or it could be 100% about hockey.Wonder what the plan is here. Maybe not a lot of opportunity in Dynamo’s KHL club? Time to bring Vladimir Sobotka back as a vet presence!![]()
I definitely did. Whoops lol.You know that Sobotka is Czech right?
OMG, very nice. But where will he play next season?

Should be able to loan him to echl or something, right? AHL is rough.
As long as he shows well, it'll be Rochester. Worst case scenario is likely Cincinnati. I suppose we could loan him overseas someplace......but with everything going on.....my guess is here in the States.
Yes, the AHL may be too early for him. But not sure about ECHL.I am not in favor of the AHL at his size. That league is a meat grinder on undersized kids trying to add muscle. I wonder if he gets lent out to another European club team.
Too old for USHL/CHL?
So if he had already been drafted, he could play in the CHL in 22/23, but he can't be drafted now because he needs to be held personally responsible for Russia's foreign policy. Makes sense. No one has his CHL rights and with their draft ban, that's out. I didn't find him on any USHL draft lists but my search wasn't all that thorough.

Couldn't find anything about a USHL ban. A team used to gently introducing Russians to North America might be the best spot for him. Appears he doesn't speak a lick of English.
Sabres have him listed at 150 lb. Is that correct? Get him under the barbell, and prepare the protein shakes!
Is the NCAA not an option?Yeah, he's just a wisp of a human at this point. Even if he has an amazing summer of training, that's what, 5 kg of muscle mass? It's why I don't think the AHL is the right fit.
