Another goal today and 2-1-3 for the two games as Dynamo split with Loco who they are trying to catch in their conference.

Finished the season 28th in the MHL in scoring with 26 goals (good for 24th) and 30 assists (good for 36th) and averaged 1.1 points per game after last year's 1.2 points per game. He had a lull, for sure, but was really strong to end the season.

As the playoffs start, he picked up 4 assists in Dynamo's opening game win and then was held without a point in the second game.

I don't think he's put on weight this season? It so, doesn't look like much. Novikov and him in the same frame is like Goliath and David.

He did pick it up in the 2nd half, but he still looks skinny as hell, he may get destroyed if he moves up to the KHL next season.

That is a *fun* team to watch by the way. Speaking of huge, Nikonov in the 7th would be cool. Can never have enough -ovs. Bolshakov is a banger, and Didkovsky has some skills.

Opener against SKA and Michkov today, only time I've noticed him was on SKA's 4th goal as Michkov clowned everyone behind the net and fed the goal scorer cutting down the slot. Kisakov was one caught standing around - but then again so was everyone else.

Strange assist - backhand lob Didkovsky races into to get a shot on the PK and it's now 5-1 against.

He's everywhere for SKA. If someone wants a Max comp, that's the sort of guy I think of as a Max comp.

Going off topic - wouldn't mind another 4th or 5th rounder to take someone like him and stash him for later. He's got some damned entertaining elements to his game. With him already being 18 and turning 19 in Sept., that will probably push his draft stock down a bit into the 3/4/5 range. That and his size (74 kgs is pretty slightly built) will probably have a drag on where he goes.

Taking Russian's in mid to late rounds just makes sense. Lottery tickets. It's similar to the international market in baseball. In that you take a flyer and see if it hits. Darts at a board. The best player on the Red Sox are international signings (Boegarts, Devers) etc.

Always love seeing prospects repping the team months or years after they were drafted, especially with all of the panic about some of the NCAA guys returning for another year.
