Vigneault has made his public pitch. The next one will be delivered to the person, if not persons — should president Glen Sather and the owner also sit in — who will decide his fate. They are the ones to whom he is accountable.

Brooks says that media breakup day is Tuesday. Thinks that Gorton and AV will discuss his future either tomorrow or Monday.

I would imagine that regardless of the decision, we won't learn until breakup day.

I imagine we won't even learn about his fate until the end of the day, when Gorton will make presumably make his appearance.

I think most of the morning/afternoon will be player interviews, and then by the time that they pack up and leave, Gorton will show up. AV will show up at that point if he's back next year, and...well...it will be Gorton by himself if AV won't be back.

That's how I see Tuesday unfolding.

Anyway...IF Keefe was to be named the Rangers next coach, it would have to wait until after the AHL playoffs.

But since it's the offseason, there isn't too much of a rush to name a new coach, though I imagine they'd want to have a coach named by the draft in June.
