Canning Bednar would just be a scapegoat. The problems are obvious, 4 missing top 6 forwards a top 2 dman, and the worst goalie in the league. you could put the best coach on the planet behind the bench they are winning with this trash can of a roster. Throw in half assed efforts from the top guys and there's no f***ing way to win.

Bednar is far from the problem.
Most of the time when coaches are fired mid season, they are the scapegoats to larger issues. Especially on formerly successful teams. It can also be the right move.

I’m not there yet, but the Avs could probably get some new life in a system that is not predicated on a ton of effort to work. Something that plays a bit smarter and more deliberate. It could also be a disaster given the guys with under 70 IQ.

Jack Hughes clone. Not as good offensively, but better defensively.

missed most the game. So is Georgie at fault or is it everyone this time?
1st goal was his fault
2nd goal was a bad pokecheque (a bit unlucky)
3rd goal not really his fault
4th goal was beat clean 1v1 on a breakaway

The problem with him is that he keeps getting beat clean like he knows he won't be able to save it. It's horrible body language.

We need that player that is on the edge - the Kadri, Lemiuex kind of player that stirs up shit on the ice. Gets the other team off their game - even with everyone back we don't have that

Do people really expect a 3 million dollar goalie to shut the door and win games when the team is missing so many players? Maybe the expectations are bit too high there. We don’t have a Vasilevskiy or Shesterkin in net

That 3rd goal ws 100% his fault. He came waaaaaay too far out of his crease to try a bad poke. Stay in net and make the f***ing save.

In my opinion, if a player or two looks good or bad compared to their normal, that's the fault or credit of the player.

If most of team looks good or bad compared to their normal, that's the fault or credit of the coaches.
