Most of the time when coaches are fired mid season, they are the scapegoats to larger issues. Especially on formerly successful teams. It can also be the right move.Canning Bednar would just be a scapegoat. The problems are obvious, 4 missing top 6 forwards a top 2 dman, and the worst goalie in the league. you could put the best coach on the planet behind the bench they are winning with this trash can of a roster. Throw in half assed efforts from the top guys and there's no f***ing way to win.
Bednar is far from the problem.
I’m not there yet, but the Avs could probably get some new life in a system that is not predicated on a ton of effort to work. Something that plays a bit smarter and more deliberate. It could also be a disaster given the guys with under 70 IQ.
