Guys, the "lowly" name was given to us by TSN after beating the Habs and Leafs, so we've been giving the name back to other Canadian teams as a joke.

The three teams that the Panthers beat on their recent trip all possessed better records in the standings versus Florida; that would be why the media referred to them as the lowly Panthers. By extension, it makes no sense for Panthers fans to attempt to play upon those words by referring to the Jets as lowly, given that the Jets also have a better overall record in the standings relative to the Panthers. Weak joke, in my view.

Another Leaf Koolaid drinker.

Rielly 1G 9A 10P in 28 games
Trouba 2G 6A 8P in 20 games

Not really seeing it in the stats. And Trouba IS the better defensive defenseman

Trouba's offense has always been underrated by many. He has produced a lot of offense at all levels of competition. He is smart, a fast and strong skater, good with the puck and has a great shot. He also plays aggressively on offense when the opportunity presents itself.

My guess is that Chevy wouldn't even consider a Rielly for Trouba trade, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Leafs would take that trade without even blinking.

that first Kane penalty is what ignited the team. then i also remember every other player taking a penalty last night. ill take this Kane

When Kane and Bogo are playing with aggression, the Jets reach another level. You could see glimpses of what this core of players could be when they play with an edge. They don't have that often enough.

Here is something I noticed during the game last night that no one has mentioned here as of yet; Scheifele absolutely dominated Bjugstad on faceoffs, he owned him.

Interesting. Scheifele seems to have gotten stronger in the face-off circle as the season progresses. I suppose that's to be expected.

Bjugstad and Barkov are going to be a handful at C for the Panthers in the future.
