Was feeling nostalgic for some of their dumb shit and recalled them bitching that the Amerks hired “a USHL coach with bad records” instead of someone they were friends with and that Kulich didn’t belong in the NHL because he had no assits.
The former has his team rolling big time without their best player (Kulich) and the latter is tied for the team lead in GWG, playing #1 center which has unlocked Tage and Peterka again…and has been their most effective forward the last two months…since they said it.

Not normally one for gossip but I could use a distraction - I heard yesterday's episode and there definitely seems to be a lot of vitriol directed at Biron from Peters and Rivet. Anyone know the details?

It’s jealousy. One guy is a pro who works everywhere in hockey because his work is respected. The other two once got on Levi for being shit for losing to a bad country in international play when he didn’t play that day.
Just…ignore them. Like everyone in hockey does.
I understand the Peters and Rivet hate. They are dummies. But acting like Biron is a class above them... yeah, no. He is an embarrassment to himself.

The guy is steadily working on TSN and the Sirius NHL channel in addition to his full time job with the Sabres.
You might not like that he has to tow the company line while on Sabres broadcasts as a Sabres employee…but to even state that anyone f***ing one, let alone Biron, isn’t a class above the two CTE victims who would trade first rounders for glorified AHLer Matt Rempe, believe that letting Michael Peca leave doomed the Sabres while ignoring the Rangers total lack of success since he got there, buried Leone’s hiring because he wasn’t their buddy, allowed Roenik to come on and peddle vaccine conspiracy theories about Damar Hamlin, and whose depth of player analysis is Rivet giving you their heights and weights repeatedly while Peters tries to trade any talented player for someone else’s 8 minute a night goon…

I listened, pretty sure they said Marty sold them out referencing their departure from Instigators. Sounds like they're not exchanging Christmas cards anymore.
Drury hit was brought up. Maybe Marty would think different to team mates sticking up for each other if Petey left Emery to it.

The thing I thought was weird about the pod is that to me the post game reaction seemed fine. The team won but Marty and duff didn't shy away from talking about the lack of response or pretend it didn't happen.
It was obviously talked about in a very diplomatic way, a bit sugar coating. But idk what the expectation is here? Seems like more of an axe to grind than anything

I don't quite get the Biron hate. He's not that insightful outside of the goalie position, but he's personable and that counts for quite a bit on TV.
Rivet and Peters are just dull hammers that find new talking points every 3 years and bludgeon the audiences with them and try to make every situation fit their favorite talking points.

The problem with Duff and Biron (and the entire Sabres' broadcast world), is they are out of things to talk about. It is a dreadful team and dreadful organization where nothing really matters until the owner gets serious and decides that he shouldnt be putting himself in a position to review scouting data.
It would be awful covering this team. Im kind of surprised Duff has stuck around so long. The television broadcast is so monotonous and boring, just like the franchise.

Guess I don't watch a lot of other local broadcasts but I imagine most aren't super riveting

Yeah I really don't care about any of that. I don't listen to Peters and Rivets show. I have heard clips and see the ideas they float through social media. I'm willing to bet a very large percentage of former players agree with the two nozzle nuts. Much more than you'd be comfortable with.
