Monsters lose a tough one 4-2. Knew it was going to be one of the night when Greaves got caught out of position playing the puck and it ended up in the net 20 seconds in. Knazko and Matteau with the goals.

Monsters get the win 3-2. Dumais with the game winner. Greaves with 29 saves. Would have liked the four points, but at least took two. Good physical series.

Dumais gets 2nd star.

Great play by Stefan Matteau. Looks like he was trying to pass to McKown but a defenseman get a foot in the way and the puck bounced to Dumais. Dumais had a great reaction.

I think you're right. Puck looked initially like it was headed to McKown and the hit the defender. Real nice shot by Dumais.

Well, that was a crazy Lumberjacks weekend.

Monsters lose 3-2 in a shootout with agains Lehigh Valley. Down 2-0 most of the game, Ahcan scored twice in the 3rd to tie it. Had a few chances to win but couldn't convert. Monsters need to put some wins together. Wilkes-Barrie tomorrow. We are awful in the shootout, niether chance was even close to going in.

Monsters up 4-1 in the 1st against Wilkes-Barrie. Dumais with a couple assists already.

Monsters blow 4-1 lead to lose 5-4 in OT. Gave up tying goal with 18 seconds left, game winner with 28 seconds left in OT.

Greaves faced 41 shots. I think Dumais got hurt, missed it as my strem wasn't so hot. Didn't see him playing in the third. At least they got a point, but they really need to start inning in regulation. Just not getting it done.

Dumais did have a shot on goal in the 3rd, but he wasn't out the last few minutes, or OT. Was watching on my phone so the numbers were hard to see, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was out there and I missed it, but pretty sure he wasn't out there last part of the third.

Monsters lost 5-1 to Rochester last night. Pretty low effort affair as they really didn't look good aside from a couple guys. Volgelhuber has his work cut out for him trying to get these guys fired up again.

Rochester owns us this year, we really struggle against them.

Currently 6 points behind Rochester, 7 behind Laval, and 1 ahead of Toronto, with all 3 of those teams having games in hand.

It's getting tough, hard to replace your top center and defenseman: Mateychuk and LDBB.

It's getting tough, hard to replace your top center and defenseman: Mateychuk and LDBB.

LDBB played last night and wasn't too noticeable. I knew it was only a matter of time before Mateychuk was gone so I really didn't put too much stock into him, just enjoyed watching while he was here.

We still have a bunch of the guys who were scoring earlier in the year, but with the exception of TFW, the offense has dried up, and when they do score, so does the other team.

Defensively they have also struggled, and losing Cuelemens has hurt a bit. Bowey and Hunt need to step it up a bit. Lot of odd man rushes last night, two goals on breakaways, a 2 on 0 that Greaves stopped, and an odd man rush while on the PP that ended up in the net.

A big part of last night, though, was we just don't match up well with Rochester. Even earlier in the year when we had everyone, they still beat us soundly.

We have decent AHL talent, but it seems the compete level hasn't been there.
