Why not take the sure 3 and then let the defense handle it?

That's what I would have done. Sure you still need a TD but that TD puts you in the lead.

I know casual fans like shootouts way more, but diehards that i know usually prefer games like this one. A game like that Freeman MNF against the Giants is horrible, but games like today, Steelers-Bengals, Vikes-Hawks etc are awesome
