I still find it fascinating that in order to make Fox look better than he's been this season, we have to shit on Lindgren. Fox should look great regardless of who's he paired with considering his salary.

Per Scott Wheeler - "In 46 playoff games across 835 mins at 5-on-5, the Rangers have outscored the opposition 36-24 with Fox on the ice."

People seem to act like Fox was the only defenseman out there.

Fox is having a down year and deserves the criticism. It's not Lindgren's fault.

ON the flip side to me that all sounds like making excuses for Lindgren

IMO when every game you have to try to do it all, all over the ice, eventually you're gonna start slipping.

Fox can play better and should play better but he's been left in a situation with a partner that does nothing to help him but everyone thinks lindgren is just the tits for some reason

Fox is having a down year, along with every other Ranger.

But Lindgren is one of the worst players in the NHL and he’s playing first pair totally dragging Fox and the team down

So it's always someone else's fault? And I say that because I've used the same excuse for others so I'm not immune to this. But it's funny that we're willing to blame others when a player is not playing well.

Why are we blaming Lindgren for Fox's issues, but not Fox for Lindgren's?
Trocheck has had a tough season, but we don't say it's someone else's fault. Just him.
Mika has been pretty bad. Only his fault.
Is it someone's else fault that Artemi Panarin is having his worst statistical season as a Ranger?

I'm guilty of this too. I have said that Kreider's poor season is a by-product of Mika having a poor season. But really the fact is, the onus falls on Kreider.

This entire season has been shitty and I'm not going to make excuses for players, by placing the blame on others. Not anymore anyway.

I wonder if it possibly got dislocated? If that was the case it could be a short term injury. Probably best case scenario. I have been tough on Fox but he is a legit asset and I never want to see anyone injured.

I had to step out when he got injured and left the game last night.

What are talking about? Shoulder? Knee?

Ok so the "doc" is sayin he could be out 1-12+ weeks.

That narrows it down.

But if it was a broken collarbone, I feel like he would have been in a lot more pain.

Obviously I have no idea but looking at the video it could be multiple things including shoulder or collarbone. Is it even possible it could be a elbow area tendon injury? Like an ulnar issue.

The fact that he immediately reached up to the top of his shoulder and went right to the room is obviously not a good sign.

Separated or Dislocated shoulder or Broken clavicle are all possibilities. I'd like to think based on the replay is more in line with a separation but you need to be careful with either because if theres a tear to the muscle it could require surgery.

Im no Orthopedist but I separated my shoulder back in my college hockey days. Took several months before i was back to normal and just like Jack Hughes these things can easily linger. And slighter framed individuals in this league could be susceptible to nagging/reoccurring shoulder issues. They both are and Jack has.

Don't think its a broken clavicle, he hits his shouldercap on the ice and rolls the "right" way. If he rolled forward with his arm trapped that's where the collarbone comes into play. If it broke off that fall it was about to break anyway.

That said, you can be mostly normal with a broken clavicle until the swelling hits (personal exp).

He kind of had his left shoulder slightly rolled medially (towards his chest) prior to contact with the ice (due to reaching to his right side while trying to hook down the Islander with him) which probably added strain on his posterior shoulder joint ligaments/tendons, but removed some pressure from his front shoulder joint and clavicle.

Didn't McDonagh separate his shoulder prior to the 2014 playoff run?
Yup, he was crunched into the boards, full force directly on his right shoulder iirc, he was on a tremendous offensive run prior to that hit and then he came back in the playoffs but never was able to hit that same stride with us.
