Adam Fox wins Norris

Complete joke, First time Ive ever seen a right winger win the Norris. But why bother watching him play when you can simply look at the box score and add up points. The box score doesn't show Buchnevich and Strome playing his position 3/4 of the time because hes caught up the ice.

It was the right choice. Being healthy matters, and Makar missed 20% of the season. Healthy, I’m quite sure Makar wins it, but it doesn’t matter now.
I don't think Avs fans have to be concerned with Makar. His name will be on the trophy at least once.

3 more points in 11 more games and somehow wins the Norris lol at the NHL writers.

You’d have a great argument here if the Norris was just a point total award but it’s not and it shouldn’t be, I blame the league/media for allowing it to be perceived as one.

It’s the best DEFENSEman award, if it was solely based on points why would they even bother having a vote at all?

Makar 100% wins this had he played a few more games. Man oh man is Fox going to break the bank on his new deal, IIRC Doughty was the last 2nd year player to be nominated for the Norris and he got a huge contract shortly after.

Can't imagine how sour I'd be as a Flames fan

He literally refused to sign with teams other than NY, his hometown. He really dictated where he was going to play. Not really fair, but I guess CAR still got 2 2nds
Get what you coming from but really how can you complain at a young man takes control of his own life. What's not fair really is that NHL players in general have no say regarding their own life until the reach UFA at 26/27

Rangers can lowball him like crazy.
What’s he gonna do, sign with Calgary?

Norris based on 2 months of stellar play. Doubt he'll ever play near the same level of play he did in Feb and March of this year.

Those poor NHL players that have no choice but to make millions of dollars doing what they love, and sometimes can't do it for the team they were a fan of as a kid! Won't somebody please think of the millionaires!

I was looking forward to seeing Makar go for the Calder > Norris > Hart in first 3 seasons, but this was absolutely the right choice and NYR got a stud in Fox. Good team and superstars on Broadway is good for the NHL, and ESPN (w/ Messier) is going to milk the shit out of it.
