Really want to hear more about this 1 on 1 meeting with Dreary.
And would have NO problem with that. Ergo the decision of having 18 Alternates. I mean, Kreider, Trouba, Zibanejad and now FOXY all could be wearing THAT letter.GIVE HIM THE C
You’re speaking in the past tense. My only question is how many Norris trophies does he win during these 7 years ?
i think one side wanted to do six and the other wanted eight so they split the difference. Just a guess. I suspect it wasn't money, at all. That's pretty standard. Simply years. It's a petty thing but that was actually my reaction as well![]()
i hear that makar actually turned down the norris for last season.Probably none because Makar has a lock on the Norris for the next 7 years.
yep - it's an issue when it's an issue...and at that point there will be other issues and other opportunities...and solutions...obviously the team needs to mind the ps and qs but it's nothing to worry about now or later.not too concerned about that
Go Canada! Canada’s game! Canada’s players! Yeah! Go Poutine and Maple Syrup! (Said Don Cherry after a bump)Probably none because Makar has a lock on the Norris for the next 7 years.
No way we buy them both out, or either one, in two years. That would be a big long term hit. They need to wait until their NMCs end and look to move one or both.I think both will be bought out in like 2 years either way
POTDi hear that makar actually turned down the norris for last season.
Adam Fox is one of us. .
Yep. I don't know how much better the man can possibly get, but most D continue to improve well beyond 23 years of age.Great News ! Just love watching this guy play . If he didn't improve at all it's a great deal but he's only 23 and most likely will get better. Nothing is ever for certain but to me he looks like he will be the next "great" dominant defenseman . I won't say Bobby Orr but Ray Bourque , Nik Lidstrom I can see.
he would have absolutely won it had he been healthy all season. if he turns it up the way he did towards the end of last season, it doesn't matter how shit he is defensively.i hear that makar actually turned down the norris for last season.
I hate to say this, as I don’t wish ill on any player, injury troubles at a young age often have long-term consequences. They might not slow down their victims immediately — but they may well make him susceptible to more serious related injuries down the road. That alone should remove Makar from serious contention one or two of those seasons. The rest is up to Fox.he would have absolutely won it had he been healthy all season. if he turns it up the way he did towards the end of last season, it doesn't matter how shit he is defensively.
Facts!Adam Fox is one of us. A kid that took LIRR to Penn Station, sat in the 400s, with his family, enjoying the success and wallowing in the defeats. Sweating out the playoff games, yelling at his TV when things weren't great, singing the goal song in the stands.
He's 23. In 2014, he was that teenager that you might have sat next to at MSG watching a playoff game. A fan like everyone else.
He understands what it is to us how the team does. He mentions team success in his presser. He wants to win here. He wanted to play here, just wanted to make the team.
If anyone in that room knows what fans think and how they feel and how bad we want it, it's him, because he wanted it just as bad. It's one thing to have a guy as talented as him, and he is the best in the league. But to know he is one of us, a diehard, makes it even more sweet.
He was in it for the long haul before ever wearing the jersey, now he's going to be the reason they succeed. We locked up a lifer, one of us, and it couldn't feel any better.
The next era of Rangers hockey will be defined by the play of Fox/Shesterkin/Panarin/Zibanejad/Trouba/Kreider/Goodrow. All signed for 5-7 more years. This is the window for a Cup.
I have absolutely no question that this should be our next captain.
He doesn't need to be an in-your-face guy. He has Kreider, he has Goodrow, he has Reavo. He has help.
To me, the captain should be the franchise. The player who represents the team. That's Adam Fox.
