I think his health is questionable, too. He’s had a lot of concussions. Happy to see him in the organization and Abby.
He was a guy I wanted years ago. I think I was looking at Jake Virtanen for Jujhar Khaira with some extra moving parts back when it was clear JV was busting, but where a team might have taken him as a reclamation project.

Zero interest in trading JV for a PoolParty, a player with career points totals on par with, Virtanen's projected season total. Puljujarvi is another Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson, just taken a few spots higher.

I'd want Yamamoto or Benson plus a pick for Virtanen and even then I'd have to think about it. I'd also consider Gudbranson + Virtanen for Larsson + Khaira, you downgrade on D but upgrade at the wing and the salary is almost perfectly matched.

Honestly, I think in hindsight, this would have been an okay trade. It's also nice to have been spot on that Puljujarvi had zero upside.

Linus Karlsson now 2nd in points per game among AHL players who have played more than 6 games. The only one ahead of him….Daniel Sprong
I actually liked Karlsson in Vancouver on that all-Swedish line with EP40 and Hoglander. And I thought he looked a step quicker during his latest NHL stint.

But I guess his ticket back to the minors was confirmed when the Canucks acquired O'Connor from the Pens. For sure he's dominant scorer at the AHL-level. Hope his career isn't done in the Canucks organization after this season.
