If we had another 1st there is like zero chances we keep it. I wonder if we’ll keep our 1st during the draft, seems risky to use that to draft a goalie if we do keep that pick

Every shot on Silovs was an adventure. Good thing Abby had the puck almost continuosly.

Kudryavstev is probably their best defenseman. One thing you can say that was good about the trade deadline is that they didn't lose this young player.

Put a fork in Blais - he can't help the Canucks. Also stick another fork in Brisebois. And I can still remember Benning raving about him.

Noticed that many of the vet forwards - Stevens, Twarynski, Kambeitz, DiGuiseppe were not playing. Smith played and stank. Don't think he played in the third. Overall, this team has very weak set of vet forwards. Good that some of the younger players are able to carry the load but handing out pro jobs at the AHL level to some of these players is laughable.

Poor Silovs is becoming "Sieve-lots". Got to cover your eyes at times. Looks in permanent panic mode and so unsure of himself.

The rotating cast of wingers on the 4th line hasnt seemed very intentional. Noone called up has been given any sort of opportunity to set into a role and even when it clicks it seems the next game Hoglander is in the doghouse and put on the 4th line and the AHLer is bumped out for someone else to go up into Hogs spot

Yeah, it's super weird. His last 3 or 4 games were excellent and he was starting to look like an NHL player and then *poof* gone and we've gone back to Aman and Bains and Lekk who haven't looked as good.

It’s very strange, Lekk clearly needs to get stronger to play at the NHL level, Aman has shown he’s a 13th forward tweener until he fixes his face-offs (then there’s a path to 4th line center), and Bains hasn’t been great either.

They should figure out if he’s a contender for a 4th line role next year, and there’s not much more he can show in the AHL.

i agree he is recently trending up. i like this player a lot, but he had a poor camp and has disappointed me for most of this year after last year. as an expiring ufa they may have given up on him but i hope he gets another shot. his challenge is he's got to be at least middle 6 productive to have a role in the nhl with his skating. if you look at josh leivo, who i think does everything but skate, you can see the nhl just will not tolerate a skating deficit in a bottom 6 player.
