2-0 after a powerplay goal for SJ. No idea how the refs decided to give Abby an extra penalty after a scrum that saw SJ have a second man in on an Abby player.
If we had another 1st there is like zero chances we keep it. I wonder if we’ll keep our 1st during the draft, seems risky to use that to draft a goalie if we do keep that pickRavensberger would be nice if we had a second 1st round pick
Karlsson has the knack at this level. Tied at 4.
Gotta believe with runway hes a 4th liner or at worst rotating 12 13I’m still not sure why he was sent back to the AHL when he was. Had just scored his first goal and was playing his best NHL hockey yet. Bizarre.
The rotating cast of wingers on the 4th line hasnt seemed very intentional. Noone called up has been given any sort of opportunity to set into a role and even when it clicks it seems the next game Hoglander is in the doghouse and put on the 4th line and the AHLer is bumped out for someone else to go up into Hogs spotI’m still not sure why he was sent back to the AHL when he was. i agree he is recently trending up. i like this player a lot, but he had a poor camp and has disappointed me for most of this year after last year. as an expiring ufa they may have given up on him but i hope he gets another shot. his challenge is he's got to be at least middle 6 productive to have a role in the nhl with his skating. if you look at josh leivo, who i think does everything but skate, you can see the nhl just will not tolerate a skating deficit in a bottom 6 player.I’m still not sure why he was sent back to the AHL when he was. It seems unlikely, given he hasn't played a regular NHL shift since the 22-23 season with a terrible Chicago team. If he impresses with Abbotsford and has a killer training camp, he might get a spot as a 13th forward but I'd guess you could grab a younger better player off waivers that brings what he does.could we see van give juju a contract next year?
