There aren't any serious weaknesses in Woo's play by AHL standards, but there also aren't any NHL-level aspects. That's why he never sticks around for long in Vancouver's training camp and at age 24 hasn't gotten into a single game. Brisebois has NHL mobility plus a little more size and reach and thus he gets occasional call-up duty.
 
That Tucson announcer is beyond hilarious. Where do they find these guys?....via the WWE or the MMA?

He was probably pretty silent when Lekkerimaki used a deft tip to net the winning goal. Actually that's a number of times this season I've seen Lekkerimaki use his superior hand-eye coordination to tip a bullet of a shot from the point.

It really is an unheralded part of his game. Everybody knows he can grip it, and rip it......but those deflections in front are a thing of beauty as well, and generate so many rebound chances.

I really think he'll be a goal-scorer and point producer at any level he plays at--including the NHL.

Yes I’m very excited to see what Lek can do, I think we have a legit star on our hands here, hopefully we found our future 30 goal scorer here
 
3-2 Abby seven minutes into the 2nd period in the rematch vs Tucson. Abby opened scoring early, Blais on a setup from Nate Smith. Tucson took a 2-1 lead before the end of the first period. Early in the second period, Brannstrom hit Raty with a long cross-ice pass, he went in 2-on-1 with Lekkerimaki, used the latter as a decoy and rifled a wrist shot short-side for the tying goal. A little over a minute later, Aman won a faceoff to Wolanin and the rebound from his point shot bounced in off of Nielsen.

With two minutes remaining in the second period Aman flipped a 35-foot wrist shot, couldn't tell if it deflected off of the defenceman's stick but it fooled the goalie for a 4-2 lead. Klimovich broke an 11-game pointless streak by depositing a rebound with nine seconds left in the period. Early in the third period, Klimovich used speed to beat the Tucson goalie and defenceman to the puck on a hard dump-in off of the end boards, tipped it past the out-of-position goalie. Eleven games without a point, suddenly he pots two goals in less than three minutes. 6-2 and barring a terrible collapse the team is on its way to an eighth consecutive win-- all eight in regulation, no OT or SO, I might add.

Lekkerimaki, backchecking, fell over top of a falling Tucson player and went face-first into the boards with some velocity. Was down for a bit, got up, left the ice and headed for the tunnel on his own power but in some discomfort.
 
Lost some teeth on that one, hopefully it's nothing too major.
Dirty hit on Mueller, although he did turn at the last second.
 
The only downside to this lopsided win is Lekkerimaki crashing into the end wall.....all you can hope is that he can bounce back.

Now seven wins in a row, and slowly but steadily, Abbotsford is climbing the standings in the Pacific. And two of their better players--Karlsson and D-Petey are in Vancouver.

Brannstrom voted one of the three stars again. It's absolutely baffling how a guy can be so dominant at this level, and struggle mightily in the NHL. At times in the last couple of nights, Brannstrom looked like he can dominate in the AHL the way Hughes does in Vancouver.

But I guess he's probably run out of chances in Vancouver.
 
Tuscon goalie was poor and a key factor in letting Abby sail through this game 6 to 2. Another factor was that Tucson took 28 minutes in penalties while the Canucks too only 4.

Raty playing more assertively. Has put on more bulk which allows him to play harder around the net. Only big thing holding him back is the need for a quicker first step.

Brannstrom and Aman continue to dominate. In the three stars again.

Nice to see Klimovich get a couple. Went to the net well. Type of player who plays better when he scores. Gets frustrated and he starts making foolish plays.

Kudryavstev continues to play smart and efficient hockey. Up to 18 points on the season.

Lekkermaki took a huge crash into the end boards after getting his skates tied up with a Roadrunner player. Not sure if there was any intent or not. Look very bad at first. Apparently, he got up on his own and left the ice on his own. Camera man fixed his attention on the Tucson bench so couldn't see Lekkermaki's reaction. Play was a good defensive play by Lekkeramaki and you hope (a lot) that he is ok.

Silovs had good game. Very active in coming out to handle the puck.

Blais play continues to pick up. Not the fastest skater but his size and puck movement helps.
