I should mention in fairness to Aman that his wingers tonight are Mueller and Nielsen who are third-line calibre, not second-line.

Felton is signed as organizational depth. Like that centre from Germany a few years ago-- can't remember his name, Marc something-- signed at age 24 out of NCAA, too. Guys who don't turn pro until they're 24 are longshots to become NHLers.

Friedman, Woo and McWard were ahead of him and Kudryavtsev was taking quite a few shifts on the right side, too.
Friedman, Woo, and McWard have more-or-less proven they don't have NHL upside. Felton almost certainly doesn't either, but the proof isn't there.

They signed McWard as "organizational depth," I presume, and then gave him a good look alongside Hughes. Why?

Big save by Young on Cale Flueery keeps it tied late.

Older college signings do hit once in a while. Doug Lidster didn't leave Colorado College until he was 24 and I think did a stint with team Canada before finally arriving here.
