In the past few pages there seem to be as many posts from Leaf fans talking about how "Everyone hates the Leafs, this thread is super long" as there are from other posters talking about the Leafs or the series.

I understand you’re new to this but Sunday night and Monday when this thread opens up again and the game 1 GDT closes …… there will be a lot more than that going on in here lol

Lol.

Gone from his game if it was even there in the first place.

But hang on to whatever you can knowing that despite our total absence from the playoffs seemingly forever the Sens have still won more series over the past 19 years than your Leafs.

Haven’t won any more Stanley cups than we have in the last 50 years though

Yeah front running in Games 1 and 2.

How about you give me the stats in Game 7s. Matthews 3 points -2 in 5gp. Marner 2 points -5 in 5gp. Nylander 4 points -3 in 5gp. Tavares 1 point -3 in 4gp

Yeah when the going gets tough they choke. Any other narrative is false.

Anyways have fun this series. Looking forward to it

Let’s have a look at the senators playoff record the last 8 years while we’re at it ….

What are tkachuk/stutzle playoff PPG over their careers? Lemme check hockey-reference brb

Oh, oh no

Insulting their captain’s appearance with Auston Matthews wearing the C for your team is certainly one of the moves of all time

Ya but Brady tkachuk is up there with Charlie mcavoy as the ugliest players in the league. One of those guys you look at and immediately know he’s only getting laid because he has money

And who cares? Last time the Sens were in the playoffs, it was a completely different team (which Karlsson detonated after running Hoffman out of town and then sulking until he was traded).

This senators core has been trying to get off the ground for 4 years and failing.

Ottawa fans got a big reality check last year and are going to get another one over the next week or two.

Time for them to start the “should the senators blow it up?” Polls

True, but man if you're really bringing out the fact that your team has won exactly 3 playoff series in 19 years as some kind of positive spin ... Yikes.

For the record, since 1993 (the Sens first season) Ottawa has made it out of the first round exactly 7 times. Want to take a guess how many times the Leafs have? A whopping 8. Hold up, I'm breaking out the party hats!🥳🥳

So really, neither franchise has any reason to brag about anything. Kind of like the 31st Hawks and 32nd Sharks arguing which was the better team this season.
100% agree but it is almost always Leaf homers making the "playoff loss" case against Ottawa.

I think also your math is off - Sens won 7 series in past 19 years not 3.

But this will be fun.

The Leafs better win this series for the sake of the health of Leafs fans everywhere because if they lose early in the playoffs again to the hated Sens of all teams? Hooooo boy

To be honest, it's just scary the propensity the Sens have for getting PPs and the Leafs have for taking penalties. This could be a 5 a game easily for the Sens.

The real question is “which leaf gets suspended in the first round this year?”

My money is on Benoit getting the annual leafs playoff suspension

Knies is at least as good as tkachuk, every year he asserts himself a little bit more. Once he reaches the confidence that tkachuk has Knies is going to be an all time beast.

He’s just starting to realize how good he actually is

He’s good, but I don’t think this is true, at least not yet. Brady doesn’t play with Matthews or Marner. Definitely a big step forward for him this year though.

Jen Botterill would never say that. She would be busy crying about how some hockey players were being mean by hitting people too hard and we need a friendly NHL. Instead of hitting we should hug each other..

Except for Ridley Greig where she toed the party line and said he deserved a stick to the face.

A day in the life of a non-Leafs fan.

“Retaliation is wrong! Sending a message is wrong!”

Later:

“Yeah it’s ok, just unfortunate for poor Rielly.”

for those convinced Ottawa won’t win, they won the season series 3-0….
Love this argument.

Check out the season series in 2000-01 and then look at the playoff series that same year.

For a more recent example, look at the Leafs/ Bruins season series last year, and compare it to their playoff series.
