See, I saw the title for this thread and thought to myself "Okay who were the last 2 calder winners?" to try and figure out which team the OP predicted would win a third this year. Imagine my surprise when I learned the team in the OP not only didn't have a Calder winner last year, but hasn't had one since 1972(?) and is now being predicted to have three winners in a row.

Putting aside the counting your chickens thing, the closest I can think of is AHL rookie of the year award. The Portland Pirates (when they were the Sabres' affiliate) won it 3 years in a row:

BTW, I just looked at the list of NHL Calder winners (NHL Calder Memorial Trophy Winners | NHL.com), and it's only happened one time. The Leafs won the Calder 3 years in a row from 1943-45. So, there's your answer.

The premise of this thread is damn funny. There is a a chance a guy wins it this year, possibly a guy wins it next year, and perhaps the year after that a guy will win it if these other guys suck
